Bucheon bakery: 1.5cm Golden Beurre whole loaf, Momos drip, Easy White
In short
Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong is a fresh-loaf bakery on Giljuro in Sinjung-dong, Bucheon. The writer took home a whole Golden Beurre loaf (₩11,000) sliced 1.5cm thick, a ₩1,500 pecan cream cheese and a drip coffee made with Momos Coffee beans, and the Golden Beurre loaf was soft and rich with butter even with nothing spread on it. What kind of bakery is Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong?
Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong is a Sinjung-dong bakery where one plain loaf of shokupan-style bread (salt-free-style fresh loaf, 생식빵) is properly delicious, rather than flashy topping breads. I found it while searching for bakeries in Sinjung-dong. These days my eyes go straight to the topping breads in any bakery, but here the plain loaf was the star.
Inside, fresh-baked loaves filled the racks and bread was being made in the back non-stop. I took home the most basic Golden Beurre loaf, plus pecan cream cheese and a drip coffee. Even with nothing spread on it, the butter flavor came through strongly and the bread was so soft I kept reaching for more.
You can also have it cut to the thickness you like, and there's brewed coffee made with Momos Coffee beans too. If you're hunting for a great loaf or sandwich bread in Sinjung-dong, this is a place I wanted to share.

Can you eat in at Easy White Bread Sinjung-dong?
Yes. Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong has seats both in front of the shop and inside, so it isn't a takeout-only bakery. In front there's a little space where you can sit for a while.

There are seats inside as well, so it's not strictly takeout. Ordering coffee and bread together and eating for a bit looked perfectly fine. The back is open, so you can watch the bread being made and the coffee being brewed.

Above all, what caught my eye most was the pile of fresh-baked loaves on one side of the shop.
Fresh-baked loaves straight from the shop
Easy White Bread sells loaves baked in-house every day, and I loved that fresh-from-the-oven bakery feeling the moment I walked in.

True to a shop that makes loaves its main product, it didn't lay out a huge variety of breads. It felt focused on the loaf itself.
What butter does Easy White Bread use in its loaves?
A sign in the shop said the loaves use French AOP-certified butter.

Since butter flavor matters so much in a plain loaf, it felt like they'd put care into the ingredients. There was also a separate baking info sign on one side, and overall my impression was that they're quite serious about the bread.
Golden Beurre loaf prices and the loaf menu
At the time of my visit, the Golden Beurre loaf was ₩6,000 for a Half and ₩11,000 for a Whole, and there were also olive cheese, soboro chestnut mochi (crumble-topped, chewy rice cake) and walnut cranberry rye loaves.

The range of loaves was wider than I expected. Besides the basic Golden Beurre, there were olive cheese, soboro chestnut mochi and walnut cranberry rye loaves, and they also sold a fresh cream castella bread.

- Golden Beurre loaf Half ₩6,000
- Golden Beurre loaf Whole ₩11,000
I wanted to eat a lot, haha, so I went with the Golden Beurre Whole.
How should you choose the bread thickness?
At Easy White Bread you can have your loaf cut to any of three thicknesses: 1.5cm, 2cm or 2.5cm.

- 1.5cm: a thickness that's good for light eating with butter or jam
- 2cm: the recommended thickness for enjoying the bread's own flavor and texture
- 2.5cm: for toast or French toast
Since I was also buying pecan cream cheese, I asked for 1.5cm this time.

A Whole is quite a lot of bread, so having it pre-sliced made it easy to eat at home.
Cream cheese and homemade jam to eat with the loaf
Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong also sells cream cheese and homemade jam to go with the bread, and I picked the ₩1,500 pecan cream cheese. There were plain, blueberry and pecan cream cheeses, among others.

Also, they run a giveaway event if you leave a Naver receipt review, so keep that in mind!
Brewed coffee made with Momos Coffee beans
The drip coffee at Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong is made with beans from Momos Coffee of Busan, brewed one cup at a time in an automatic drip machine. I ordered a drip coffee too, and the staff brewed it cup by cup on the machine.
It isn't pulled straight from a regular espresso machine; the coffee is brewed by an automatic device, so there's some fun in watching while you wait.

The beans were from Momos Coffee, the famous Busan coffee brand. I love Momos Coffee, so I was happy to see it. It didn't feel like a casual bakery coffee; I liked that they put real thought into brewed coffee too.
How did the Golden Beurre loaf taste?
Even with nothing spread on it, the Golden Beurre loaf had a strong buttery flavor and was nutty and soft. I finally tried it at home, first plain, and the butter flavor hit me more than I expected. The butter aroma lingers subtly as you chew, and it's the kind of taste where you just keep tearing off plain bread!!

Strongly topped breads are delicious too, but a place where the plain loaf itself tastes great has a different kind of charm.

I liked the 1.5cm cut too. It was easy to eat plain, and with a little pecan cream cheese spread on, it was delicious again.

Next time I'd like to get a thicker 2cm or 2.5cm cut and toast it. Slightly crisp outside and soft inside, it'd be really good, I bet.
A place to go back to if you're after a loaf in Sinjung-dong
I liked that Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong cuts fresh-baked loaves to the thickness you want, and that you can enjoy jam and brewed coffee along with it. Most of all, the rich butter flavor of the Golden Beurre loaf was my favorite.
If you prefer a bakery where the plain loaf tastes great over fancy breads, this Sinjung-dong bakery is worth a visit. Next time I plan to try the walnut cranberry rye and the other loaves one by one.
