The place is spacious and clean overall — I liked that it's a meat restaurant without the usual meat smell. Floors and tables weren't sticky either. Passed!

The self-serve corner had a variety of sauces, vegetables, side dishes, and even fried rice ingredients — plus slushies that kids love.

Side dishes and sauces from the self-serve bar. I grabbed flower pork belly for the meat. Even just this spread already looks super plentiful.

I'd been craving meat lately, but it's hot and cooking this kind of spread at home takes so much prep — so it was such a relief eating comfortably here at Paldo Daepae. On top of that, the price is very reasonable, making it easy to enjoy without guilt.

How the flower pork belly and thin-sliced pork belly tasted

At Paldo Daepae Gwangju Cheomdan Branch, I grilled flower pork belly first, then moved on to thin-sliced pork belly. Even though it's frozen, the meat quality was quite good, and it cooked quickly — maybe thanks to the good grill plate.

Thin-sliced pork cooking fast is actually a plus! I think it cooked extra quickly because the grill plate was good.

It's tasty wrapped in lettuce, good with green onion shreds too, and with so many sauces to choose from, it was fun picking a different one each time. I especially loved that soy sauce — full of umami and delicious.

After the flower pork belly, time to demolish the thin-sliced pork belly! Even though it's frozen, the meat quality is pretty good.

When you're eating just meat, it can feel a bit empty, and yet you don't quite want rice — that's when the Han River ramyeon comes in handy haha. We went with the spicy Jin Ramen — it felt like it washed the greasy taste away with a nice spicy kick.
