Why did I use a car glass oil-film remover?
When driving on rainy days, my windshield would turn hazy and wiper marks would remain, which was frustrating. I was also bothered by light glare at night. To take care of the glass, I used AutoGrooming Clean View oil-film remover.
At first, I thought the glass was simply dirty, but even a car wash did not fix the haziness. When visibility gets blurry on rainy days, driving fatigue feels much worse too.
What was the package and included set like?
I liked the mint-colored package right away. Since I usually find car washing difficult, the bright color made the product feel a little more approachable.
I liked the towel color too. Both the package and towel were so much my style that I wanted to keep them.
My set came with the oil-film remover and a dedicated towel. There was hardly anything else to prepare, so it was convenient to use right away.
Was it difficult to use with the towel?
What I liked while using it was how simple the process was.
I thought removing the oil film would mean scrubbing hard. But with this product, it felt like simply wiping with a towel, so it did not feel like a burden to me.
It took about 10 minutes to do all the windows, from the windshield to the side windows and rear window. For me, the short working time made it convenient to care for the glass quickly at a self-service car wash.
What order did I use it in?
First, I sprayed the oil-film remover evenly onto the damp glass. Then I gently rubbed the wide surface with the dedicated towel. After wiping about five times, the round beads on the glass spread out and the glass seemed to become clearer.
At the end, I rinsed it thoroughly with clean water. Even when product got onto the molding around the glass during use, I found that there were hardly any white marks left behind, which was convenient.
How was rainy-day visibility after using it?
I noticed a difference when driving in the rain afterward. Before, stains remained where the wipers passed and the light glare was severe, but after the treatment, my view felt clearer. Rainwater also seemed to run off more cleanly, and I felt less tired while driving.
It also felt economical that one bottle could be used several times. It seemed fine for caring for glass clouded by water stains too, such as a bathroom shower booth or mirror. As someone who had always found car washing intimidating, being able to do the job with a towel in a short time was what satisfied me most.
