Rainy-day sushi with my mom at Mummum Dasa Branch
On a chilly day with a light drizzle, I went with my mom to Mummum Dasa Branch (뭄뭄 다사점), a sushi restaurant in Dasa-eup, Dalseong-gun, Daegu. The weather has suddenly gotten so cold lately, hasn't it? T_T I wanted something warm and I was craving sushi too, so off we went, haha.
I'm a sushi lover anyway and come for sushi often. My mom and I both love salmon sushi, so we went in with high hopes! It had been a while since I'd visited a good sushi place, so I was full of anticipation.
Where is Mummum Dasa Branch, and what about parking and hours?

It's also a decent sushi place for a get-together in Dasa or a date near Daesil Station.

Take a look if you're craving sushi around Dasa. The parking lot is really big, too~

This is the entrance to Mummum Dasa Branch, haha. It's fairly close to both Daesil Station and Dasa Station.

Mummum Dasa Branch menu and what we ordered
Since it's a sushi spot, the Mummum Dasa Branch menu has sushi, but also pasta, rice bowls and side dishes, so there's a lot of variety. I ate salmon & beef half-and-half sushi, another half-and-half set with salmon & raw shrimp, and hot udon too. I cleaned it all up!

Inside Mummum Dasa Branch and watching the sushi being made
The inside of Mummum Dasa Branch has really spacious, clean tables, haha. I took photos after the other diners had left! It was just past lunchtime, but there were delivery orders and customers kept coming in!
The sushi is made right when you order, and since they make it in a spot you can see, it feels even more trustworthy~~!!

The restrooms are at the back of the building and clean! There's Wi-Fi too, hahaha.
With the rain and the cold weather, warm udon naturally came to mind... but I couldn't give up sushi either, so I had the udon and sushi combo and it was so good. The fun of picking my favorites half and half makes me so happy.

Is the hot udon at Mummum Dasa Branch a good pairing with sushi?
The hot udon (on-udon) at Mummum Dasa Branch comes with warm broth, egg and chewy noodles, which made it a hearty side for sushi. Everything came out at the same time!
First, the udon, haha. A sip of warm broth, then the tasty egg and chewy noodles. It's such a filling combination that I'd want to order it with sushi again next time! It really warms you up inside.

How do the salmon, beef and raw shrimp half-and-half sushi taste?
The salmon sushi at Mummum Dasa Branch had thick, melt-in-your-mouth salmon, and the beef sushi had big, tender pieces of meat. Mummum's salmon sushi is one I trust! And the beef too. My mom likes raw shrimp so she had the shrimp, and she was totally satisfied, which made me proud too.
The salmon is really thick and looks so appetizing, and when I took a bite the soft texture was amazing. I loved that moist, melting salmon texture, and the thickness made it even better, hahaha. I eat the tasty stuff first, and the salmon vanished in a flash that day!!
The beef sushi has big pieces of beef so the texture is great and the meat is super tender. It goes so well with the salmon >< Having a whole plate of the same sushi is nice, but I really like half-and-half sushi!!
My mom likes raw shrimp and I've recently fallen for shrimp too, so this lineup was a perfect fit for the two of us sushi-loving mother and daughter, haha.

So generous~~!! Maybe because it was a rainy day it tasted even better, and since I was hungry after walking from Dasa Station, the flavor felt doubled,, I've tried other Mummum branches too, but I really love the Mummum in this neighborhood! Thick, tender sushi, I just love it.

Sushi and udon on a cold day: would I go back to Mummum Dasa Branch?
The half-and-half sushi and hot udon combo at Mummum Dasa Branch suited the cooling weather perfectly, and I felt full and satisfied for a long time, haha. Honestly, I just love Mummum's salmon sushi,, you can't get salmon like this just anywhere.
Eating something tasty with my mom and chatting about this and that was so healing~~ It ended an ordinary day on a good note. If you're craving sushi in Dasa, or craving salmon, beef and shrimp, check out Mummum Dasa Branch! I'll go back next time I'm craving sushi. A sushi spot I'm definitely revisiting~~
