Gwangalli pizzeria date, taco-potato half pizza: Extra Mile

Today I visited Extra Mile (엑스트라마일), a pizza place with a great atmosphere in Gwangan, Busan 😆!!

Where is Extra Mile, and what are the hours and parking?

Extra Mile is at 11 Suyeong-ro 554beonga-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan, on the 1st floor, and it is open daily from 11:00 to 21:00. There is no private parking lot, so you need to use a nearby car park.

How long was the wait at Extra Mile?

Extra Mile uses Catchtable (a Korean reservation and queueing app) for waitlist registration. When I registered there were 3 parties ahead of us, so we wandered around nearby for a bit. I'd heard the wait is usually long and was worried, but it was better than expected, haha.

There's a separate waiting area out front, and it's shaded so you can sit while you wait~ But it's getting hot now, so I'd recommend waiting at a nearby café instead,, 😋

Is the inside of Extra Mile good for a date?

Right when you walk into Extra Mile there are hooks for hanging your clothes, and disposable aprons are ready for you~

The white-and-wood interior is warm yet clean, and the mood is just so good,, it's honestly perfect for a date 🤍

Extra Mile menu and what we ordered

The Extra Mile menu has 4 kinds of pizza and 5 kinds of pasta, and you can order the pizza half-and-half 👍🏻 We ordered a taco and potato half-and-half pizza and a white ragu pasta~!!

Coloring the table paper with my boyfriend

There are colored pencils on the Extra Mile tables, and I wondered why they were there, until I realized the paper laid out at your seat is a drawing you can color in??? So cute hahahaha. What a genius idea!!

The drawings are all different, too! My boyfriend got a pasta drawing and I got a pizza one. Who colored it better? He worked on it way harder than I expected and it was so funny hahaha. I loved getting this little bit of fun on a date!!

Ta-da, our food arrived~ The looks alone are something, right? It was a heart-stealer from the very first look..♥

How does the white ragu pasta at Extra Mile taste?

The white ragu pasta at Extra Mile felt like they had ground in meat without holding back, and the sauce was really delicious..!!!! Even with oil in it, it wasn't greasy at all, and the savory meat and the texture of the pasta went so well together, I felt?

Is the taco and potato half pizza enough for two?

The taco and potato half-and-half pizza at Extra Mile was just the right amount for two!! And now the main event, the pizza!! The pizza looks amazing, doesn't it??? Though of course my boyfriend ate more, haha.

I really love tacos, so the taco pizza was 100 times my style!! And the potato pizza smells of truffle, with crispy potato chips? on top, so the texture is even crunchier and better!! They also said the potatoes are Dubaek potatoes from Gangwon-do~ haha. It seems like they take care over every single ingredient 👍🏻

Dough eaten right to the crust

The pizza crust at Extra Mile was so good too. Normally I barely eat the crust ends when I order pizza, but I didn't leave a single bit, haha. It was crispy outside, soft inside, and really nutty and savory!!

I was satisfied on all three counts: interior, atmosphere and taste 🤭 If you're looking for a date spot with a great mood in Gwangan-dong, Busan!! I recommend trying the delicious pizza at Extra Mile!! 🍕❤️
