Blind date restaurant in Euljiro with mackerel pasta and charcoal

I was looking for a good-atmosphere restaurant for a date in Euljiro 3-ga and found this Euljiro gem, Pyu Euljiro ✨ I had no idea such a pretty restaurant was hiding around here! I loved it so much I ran straight home to write this review!!

The interior is upscale and sleek, the kind of place that makes you want to take photos 🤍 It felt like every single piece of furniture was placed with real care.

Why it's famous as a blind date spot

Pyu Euljiro isn't just pretty inside — the lighting is so soft it makes everyone look extra good...!! There's a reason it's known as a blind date restaurant.

I made a Naver reservation and they set the table with a name card for us — such a nice touch. I really loved that kind of detail.

What we ordered

Here's Pyu Euljiro's menu 👆 We ordered garden tomato risotto, mackerel pasta, charcoal octopus with romesco, Cheongdamdong Myeoneuri beer, and zero-sugar cola. They also have set menus, plus a wide range of wines and beers, so there's plenty of choice.

I feel like I've had Cheongdamdong Myeoneuri ("Cheongdam-dong Daughter-in-Law") before.

The food came out fast. I loved that there was no lag between dishes, and the portions were pretty generous for a restaurant.

Charcoal octopus with romesco

The charcoal octopus with romesco combines chewy grilled octopus with a sweet-savory sauce and fragrant romesco!

Garden tomato risotto

The garden tomato risotto has cheese, mushroom and tomato coming together nicely, and the sauce felt somehow upscale ✨

Chu-rai chu-rai. True to a fine restaurant, the risotto rice had great texture, and the ingredients overall felt fresh and wholesome. I think people who prefer food that's not too strongly seasoned would especially love this.

Signature mackerel pasta

Next up is Pyu Euljiro's signature dish, mackerel pasta~ I came here specifically because of this visual. The mackerel is big and thick ✨

Why it's a good pick for a Euljiro gathering or date

✔️ The interior is spotless and clean, and the design goes beyond pretty into beautiful!! There's a wide selection of drinks to pair with the food, too. Word seems to have gotten out already — everyone around us was either on a blind date or at a group meetup haha. It's well-equipped with group seating too, so I really recommend it for gatherings 👍🏻
