Cleansing balm for combination-oily skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal

How did I use it on combination-oily, dehydrated skin?

On hot days, I worried that sweat and oil made my pores look more noticeable. When going out, I applied my basic skincare and sunscreen, and sometimes wore makeup before cleansing. After washing with a foam cleanser, I used the HEEDA cleansing balm for double cleansing.

What were the texture and packaging like?

This is a balm-type cleanser in a simple black container. When I opened the lid, there was a spatula inside, which made it convenient to scoop out and put away the solid balm. When I scooped it up with the spatula, the texture was soft, and it melted with my body heat on my face and felt like an oil.

How did I use the cleansing balm?

• I spread it evenly over a dry face.
• I massaged by rolling my fingers over areas where I was concerned about blackheads or pores.
• On areas with heavier makeup, I massaged once more lightly, then added a little water to emulsify it.
• I finished by rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water.

How did my skin feel afterward?

Even on days when I wore only sunscreen, I felt a thorough cleanse was necessary, so I had been double cleansing. After using this product as well, my cleansing felt neatly finished, and I was satisfied because my skin seemed to feel more bouncy and moisturized. It was also described as suitable for use as a body pack, not just for cleansing.
