Rokdam (롴돰) is short for "Localdaum," a hidden gem of a restaurant and bar in Yeongildae, Pohang. Today I'm bringing you a hidden gem restaurant + bar in Yeongildae ^0^

Such an unusual name, Rokdam Localdaum! I'm a Pohang local and this was my first time going, and to start with the conclusion: the vibe was seriously great 👍🏻 So let me happily write this up➰ You can smell the strong alcohol from the entrance〰️✨

Rokdam Localdaum location, opening hours and parking

Rokdam Localdaum is on the 2nd floor at 328 Samho-ro, Buk-gu, Pohang, on the main road toward Hwanho Haenji Park and the Space Walk. It's on the side closest to Yeongildae, so it was very easy to find! Just a 2-minute walk from Hwanyeo Hoetjip (a raw fish restaurant)!

• Hours: Sun–Mon 11:00–24:00, Tue–Sat 11:00–01:00 the next day (last order until 30 minutes before closing)

What is the atmosphere like at Rokdam Localdaum?

Rokdam Localdaum is a multicultural space with stylish interiors where you get coffee, brunch, music and drinks all in one. The vibe is crazyyy!!! Seriously stylish interior and amazing atmosphere. I can't believe Pohang has a place like this... total love!!! ✨✨

They say it's a place that pairs music with life stories to share a cultural experience, a multicultural space (with tasty coffee + brunch + music + drinks all together). It's a space to meet people, talk and listen to music comfortably, and also a shared office for quietly focusing on work, a workation space, and available for Pohang performances and rentals too!!!

It's also really good for coming alone to enjoy cocktails and whisky... I heard it's a holy ground where if you come to Rokdam alone, you make a friend and leave as two.. Singles, and anyone who wants to make friends, go go! 💗🌟💗🎶 Ah, the atmosphere is just so, so good..

What food is on the Rokdam Localdaum menu?

Rokdam Localdaum has everything from light bar snacks to brunch that works as a proper meal. The most important part: the menu! 😊

Both the menu and the prices were so good.. The quality is no joke, so good that the prices feel cheap 🫶🏻

Is Rokdam Localdaum worth it if you don't drink? Non-alcoholic drinks and coffee

Rokdam Localdaum has cocktails, whisky, vodka, tequila, highballs, everything, and the non-alcoholic menu is super varied too. Totally recommended when someone has to drive!!!! You can order without any pressure.

The coffee menu was also so varied and good. It's a great place to come as a café in the daytime too 😭😭😭

From wine to samplers, the menu is soooo big that anyone who loves drinking will go wide-eyed at Rokdam 🤪➰✨👍🏻🙌🏻 Also totally recommended for anyone who wants to try something new haha

A spacious place with such a good atmosphere in Yeongildae.. so lucky!! 🌟😇 Even the lighting and every single water bottle has style! My friend is filming a vlog lol

How do the virgin mojito and fresh basil tomato ade taste?

First glass: the non-alcoholic virgin mojito! The real strength of Rokdam's drinks is that the sweetness isn't blindly strong, there's no syrupy taste, and the natural flavors come through! Pleasantly sweet and fresh. The textbook mojito 🍋haha

The fresh basil tomato ade! My friend raved about it!! The balance was crazy. Even as just a café, Rokdam's drinks taste so, so good 🍅🥬

Drinking something cold while chatting to jazz and all kinds of songs is the best 🥰

They're called coasters, right! The coasters are mini LP records, and every one is different haha

The truffle fries at Rokdam Localdaum have a rich, deep truffle aroma with salt in every bite. So delicious, a menu choice I'm glad I made!! A pretty whisky bar I keep staring at..😋

When and how can you see a live show at Rokdam Localdaum?

On the stage in front at Rokdam Localdaum, there seem to be shows about twice a month.

The kinds of shows were really varied too, from stand-up comedy to jazz, rock and band performances. Check the shows on Instagram and book through Naver! There's a show coming up in July too haha Stand-up comedy in Pohang!!! The space is big and full of charm hehe

Second round: Golden Medalist and real chocolate latte

After finishing, the second order was the non-alcoholic Golden Medalist and a real chocolate latte ^^

The Golden Medalist is a drink where fruit like strawberry and banana 🍓🍌, pineapple juice, coconut cream and more are blended into a frozen (slushy) style 🥥🍍 and it was insanely delicious!!! So refreshing haha The real chocolate latte too, my chocolate-lover friend gulped it down happily 🍫haha

How is the ricotta cheese bread at Rokdam Localdaum?

And of course we ordered another snack.. hehehe

We were already very full from eating ramen, because the ramen shop owner gave us a free soft tofu fry.. anyway, the ricotta cheese bread!

The ricotta cheese bread at Rokdam Localdaum is crispy sourdough + baguette-like bread piled generously with ricotta, then drizzled with olive oil for a totally classy and tasty finish 🥖 I want to eat it again haha

What we'd order next time at Rokdam Localdaum

Next time I'll definitely go to try drink pairings with the sweet shrimp caviar tartare!! And go again with my friend! If I have a get-together with my unnies (older sisters), I'll definitely bring them! And with my (future) boyfriend too! I'll go for sure! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
