Chicken pub near Nambu Terminal for a heatwave night indoors: Kkanbu
In short
Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch (깐부치킨 남부터미널점) is a large ground-floor fried chicken pub with a patio, one minute's walk from Exit 1 of Nambu Terminal Station in Seocho, Seoul. On a Saturday at 8:30pm, too hot even after dark for the patio, two diners sat in the cool indoor dining room with the Kkanbu Crispy Six Pack (₩24,000) of three whole drumsticks and three whole wings, plus two icy draft beers (₩5,500 each). The Six Pack felt like one and a half chickens, easily enough to fill two people.

I was hunting for a chicken pub with an outdoor patio near Nambu Terminal and ended up at Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch. Here's my honest review of the Crispy Six Pack and icy draft beer.

One minute from Exit 1 of Nambu Terminal Station
Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch sits on the ground floor, about a minute's walk from Exit 1 of Nambu Terminal Station. I was craving crispy chicken without a heavy flour coating, and when I found the Crispy Six Pack on Kkanbu's menu, I headed straight there. I'd been searching for a good Nambu Terminal chicken restaurant, and this was exactly the style I wanted.
It's tucked toward an alley so I'd never noticed it walking by, but the ground-floor space turned out to be huge. Access is great too — good enough to count as a Seoul Arts Center restaurant pick as well. I walked since it's close by, but if you drive, free parking is available if you call ahead.

Indoors instead of the patio on a heatwave night
The interior at Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch is huge, clean and cool — much bigger than it looks in photos. There's normally a separate outdoor patio too, but it was so hot that night, even after dark, that everyone stayed inside.

From what I gather, on any other night the patio gets set up and the windows stay open, so it probably has real outdoor-dining vibes! We arrived around 8:30pm on a Saturday and it was already packed. This place is clearly well known as a Nambu Terminal favorite.

Kkanbu Crispy Six Pack ₩24,000, icy draft beer ₩5,500
Once seated, we ordered the Kkanbu Crispy Six Pack (₩24,000) and two icy draft beers (₩5,500 each).

The beer came in a frosted glass, super cold with great carbonation. Chicken really does call for beer!!

Three whole drumsticks, three whole wings
The chicken had that old-school crispy fried style I was after, with less flour coating — but even crispier than I expected! That's probably why it's called the Crispy Six Pack, haha. It came with three whole drumsticks and three whole wings, six pieces total, and since they're served whole, they were genuinely huge, haha. I'd say it's about one-and-a-half chickens' worth.

It was fried to a perfect golden brown, and my mouth was watering just looking at it. I'm a drumstick person so I went for the legs first, haha. They were so big that holding one in one hand actually felt heavy, lol.

The drumstick meat and the yangnyeom chicken (seasoned sauce) combo
The drumstick meat was genuinely tender and juicy. Since the drumsticks were so big, they felt satisfying to eat and were really delicious. The fry itself was already seasoned salty, but dipping it in the yangnyeom chicken (Korean seasoned sauce) that came alongside made it even better with that sweet-and-salty combo, lol.

The skin was really thin and crispy — delicious enough to eat on its own, ugh.

The whole wing comes with the breast meat still attached
The whole wing had the wing part and a section of chicken breast meat attached together.

The wings were tender just like the drumsticks and really tasty. The breast portion looked a bit intimidating since it was so big, but once I tried it, it turned out to be so tender too thanks to a good brining job — even the breast meat. I kept dipping into the sauce and ended up finishing it all, lol. The portion was so big that the two of us were really full afterward, lol.

Why I'd recommend this as a Nambu Terminal chicken-pub pick with a patio
Eating delicious chicken and draft beer on a hot summer night really chased the heat away. The place was big and comfortable, so we left in a great mood. My husband and I already made a promise to come back for the garlic soy boneless chicken next time, haha.

If you're looking for a Nambu Terminal bar or a chicken pub with a patio, I'd strongly recommend Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch! It won't be easy to find a better Nambu Terminal chicken restaurant than this. It's also an easy walk from Gyodae Station, so keep it in mind if you're over that way too!
