Seomyeon pasta restaurant: set for two shared by 3, Odd Bird Oliver

Seomyeon in Busan seems to get hotter every time I go! So many great restaurants and pretty cafés, and just wandering around is half the fun ✨✨ The street in front of Jeonpo Station in particular is packed with atmospheric restaurants, so deciding where to eat is always a happy dilemma!!

This time I visited Odd Bird Oliver, and I was really happy with it. It has some special Western dishes!! The food was delicious and the mood was so good that it would be perfect for a blind date or a date night!! Odd Bird Oliver serves food you don't come across every day! They make all the sauces used in every dish themselves, and they even bake the focaccia in-house!!! You get to taste food made with real care, which is why it's so popular in Jeonpo 😊😊

What is the atmosphere like at Odd Bird Oliver?

As soon as we walked into Odd Bird Oliver, we could see the open kitchen! Haha. It was kept very clean, and I loved its warm, cozy feel! The house-made focaccia was right there in view too, and it looked so tempting.

The dining hall at Odd Bird Oliver was prettily decorated with wood-toned interiors and plants, which made it feel even more atmospheric! It's a lovely space for a date 🤍🤍 The tables are spaced widely apart too, so we could chat and eat comfortably, which I really liked!

There were candles on every table! They added a soft glow and made the space feel even more romantic.

How to order the set for two at Odd Bird Oliver

Odd Bird Oliver has a really wide menu: pasta, risotto, steak, salad and more! There was a set for two, so we ordered that, and since the salad can be swapped, we changed it to the salmon salad!!

Salmon citrus salad and house-baked focaccia

The salmon citrus salad and focaccia came out first in the set for two! Haha. The fresh, zesty salad really woke up our appetites so we could dig in properly!!

The salmon citrus salad was piled with salmon and fresh vegetables on top of Greek yogurt! Haha. It looked so pretty that it looked delicious from the first glance! The smooth Greek yogurt, salmon and veggies went together so freshly, and I found it really appealing!

The focaccia at Odd Bird Oliver also came out crisply baked! It arrived warm, and the gentle aroma of the bread was lovely 😊😊 It had a nutty, mild flavor that went so well with the other dishes, hahaha.

It's even better if you put the salmon salad on top of the focaccia and eat them together! The zesty salad on the nutty bread made for a richer, fuller flavor!!

Cured roe aglio e olio

Next up was the roe aglio e olio (pasta with garlic and olive oil, here with fish roe)! Haha. I usually love aglio e olio, and it had been a while, so I was even more excited!

Maybe it's the fish roe, but there was so much more savory depth!! The roe flavor made me keep reaching for more. It wasn't harsh, just a deep flavor. It was so good that I thought I could come back alone some time for a relaxed solo brunch or meal, hahaha.

Chipotle roast chicken

The chipotle roast chicken came out too! It's roasted chicken served with Mexican sauce and smooth mashed potatoes! Haha.

The chicken was nicely browned outside and moist inside, so the texture was tender, haha. With the slightly spicy Mexican sauce added, it never felt heavy and we enjoyed it to the very end!

Spreading the smooth mashed potatoes on the meat made it feel like a special treat, hahaha.

Is the set for two enough for three people?

The set for two at Odd Bird Oliver was good for three women to share!! Haha. The sisters I came with all said it was delicious and loved it too!

Is Odd Bird Oliver worth visiting?

Odd Bird Oliver, a Seomyeon pasta restaurant, was a place where you can feel the care put into the food! There are lots of dishes you can only taste here, so I recommend visiting at least once, haha. The mood is cozy and comfortable too, so I recommend it for dates or get-togethers with friends ✨
