There's a bakery café near Gongdeok Station and Mapo Station with a sign that shows the three letters of "Dasoni" (다소니) beautifully among green leaves, so I slipped inside. Everything is handmade in-house, which made me look forward to it even more.

How many baguettes does Dasoni have?

Dasoni has as many as six baguettes. The fresh bread baked every morning looks special, perhaps because of the good ingredients. The baguettes, crisp outside and chewy inside, are tasty.

With six refined baguettes, it's a great place to stop by when you want authentic flavor and taste.

Chocolate baguette, fig cream cheese baguette, honey gorgonzola baguette, pollock roe (myeongran) baguette, sesame baguette, plain baguette and more. So much variety!

Just looking at the neatly displayed varieties, you can see right away how much care goes into the bread.

Cakes, baked sweets, sandwiches and paninis too

Besides baguettes, Dasoni has a marble chocolate cake introduced as "the bread to eat in June" and a soft, moist banana bread, and both looked delicious. The salt choco, hazelnut and plain financiers are all long stick shapes full of elegance. The baked sweets are done well with their own secret touch, too.

There are also filling ham cheese and apple brie cheese sandwiches for a full meal. And there are basil tomato and truffle mushroom paninis, grilled to order.

The packaging was lovely too, perfect for gifts. The baguettes and financiers I packed up turned into a gift full of care.

Eating each carefully wrapped piece of bread, I could slowly feel the attentive details and the deep flavor.

How was the fig cream cheese baguette?

Dasoni's fig cream cheese baguette (₩6,700) comes topped with fig cream cheese, so the texture and look are special.

The moist, sweet cream is both dense and soft, blending well with the natural taste of the fig. With the cream it feels even richer, and every bite makes your mouth happy.

The salt choco (₩4,200), hazelnut (₩3,800) and plain (₩3,500) financiers are all crisp outside and moist inside. They were baked that day, so the outside is crunchy, while the inside is soft and moist. The combination of crunch and ingredients is impressive, and the nutty flavor and aroma go well with any drink. They're tasty on their own, too.
