Walk along the Gyeongui Line Forest Park and a stylish 'eer coffee roasters' sign catches your eye on a brick building tucked into the alley.

Around the entrance terrace and along the walkway, cute little terracotta pots are lined up like a mini garden, giving off a warm, cozy impression before you even step inside.

The exterior blends naturally into the alley scenery without being over the top — warm and understated in the best way! 🪴

Inside Ieo Coffee: seating and atmosphere

Step inside and natural sunlight pouring through the floor-to-ceiling windows, along with the warm wood tones, put you completely at ease.

There's a solid mix of seating, from window bar seats to tables for two and four. It's a good spot to come alone to read or work, and quiet enough to chat with friends or family too.

The restroom is out the left side of the shop, at the second door, and the key is stuck to the counter! 😆

Choosing beans and ₩1,500 drip bags

True to being a proper roastery café that roasts its own beans, one big plus is being able to choose beans that suit your taste 👍🏻

Next to the counter, golden-baked pastries sit on display under a hygienic acrylic cover. There's a good range of baked goods — Basque cheesecake, egg financier, walnut pecan chocolate cookies, white macadamia cookies, and more 💛😻

The coffee I was most looking forward to!

I ordered the iced americano. It was clean and refreshing, with the beans' signature nutty, slightly bitter character coming through nicely.

The finish was so smooth you could tell right away the beans were fresh.

The chestnut Basque cheesecake looked amazing too 🧀 Just looking at it you could tell how dense and rich it would be, and eating it exceeded my expectations.

The cheese's deep, smooth flavor filled my mouth, and dipping it in the soft, cloudy cream served on the side made it even more luscious 🤍

And there's real chestnut packed in there!! If you're obsessed with chestnut desserts, this is a must. Take a bite of the sweet chestnut cheesecake, then a sip of the cold americano... the sweetness and bitterness kept trading off and I honestly couldn't stop! 🤤

I also tried the egg financier. Something between an egg tart and a financier — such an interesting idea haha 😆

Egg filling on top, financier on the bottom — it had real charm. It felt like something you could only get here, so definitely give it a try haha

It wasn't overly sweet, which made it even better haha. By the way, the cookies looked incredible too, so I'm definitely trying those next time! 🤭
