This is how I looked before the makeover. It's a bob, but fairly long, so the volume at the sides was completely dead. 🥹 Maybe because of the summer humidity, it drooped even more and bothered me! So we decided to lighten it with a layered cut and do volume magic to make styling easy.

After that came the heat treatment. They kept the top volume and straightened the hair out smoothly, then put a C-curl in the lower part so the ends curl naturally inward.

Here's the after. Since the ends curl in naturally, it doesn't feel like a C-curl perm, but it has a slight tassel feel and looks chic. My husband said it was pretty the second he saw it, which made me really happy. He even said this place seems good, haha. I thought I was glad I made time on a Saturday afternoon, and when my hair grows out I'd come back for another perm.

Overall it feels neat and tidy, but the layers keep it from looking flat or boring. It feels much lighter than before, and the top volume came back too. You know side volume is the lifeblood of a bob, right 🥹🫶
