A Dangjin café worth visiting with grandma! It's near the Ami Art Museum, so it's a great place to rest before or after seeing the museum.

MIMI Coffee Mill's self-roasting café atmosphere

Since it's a café run by a barista owner who roasts the beans in-house, both the coffee and the signature drinks were genuinely delicious — the whole family was happy with MIMI Coffee Mill.

This Dangjin café favorite has enough space out front for several cars, so you don't have to worry about parking when visiting.

We arrived around 1pm on a Sunday and it was already busy — clearly a well-known Dangjin café favorite — with a wide range of ages among the customers. Since it's a mill-themed café, they have misutgaru (roasted grain powder), a misutgaru cream latte, sundubu (soft tofu) ice cream, and more, so quite a few tables had elders visiting with family. Recommended for family gatherings.

Grab a seat first and then order! By the way, there's a nicely decorated spot near the restrooms that's great for photos too.

There are seats scattered throughout and baby chairs too, so it's a good place to visit with family. There are plenty of menu items kids can enjoy as well (strawberry latte, sweet potato latte, ice cream, gelato, etc.).

For bread, we picked the cinnamon bread and the mocha bun! Spoiler: the bread was delicious too. If you like sweet and cinnamon-y, the cinnamon bread comes highly recommended.

What's on the menu board and at the self-bar

For drinks, we ordered the signature cream latte, fresh strawberry latte, and Dangjin soybean sundubu ice cream! After trying everything and loving it, I even got a café latte to go on a later visit — the beans have a nice acidity that's perfect for a latte.

Water, syrup, wet wipes, and blankets are also available at the self-bar. There are lots of trees right outside, so sitting by the window sipping coffee while looking out was really nice.

The buzzer went off and we brought everything to the table! It came out faster than expected, which was convenient.

MIMI cream latte (6,000 won)

The signature MIMI cream latte that won over the grown-ups. Proven with 80,000 cups sold, it's a latte with misutgaru whipped cream, giving it a nutty yet moderately sweet flavor. You should try it as-is first. I enjoyed it plain to taste the cream, then stirred it together, and honestly it was good both ways.

Dangjin soybean sundubu ice cream (5,500 won)

Ice cream made with soybeans grown in Dangjin's red clay soil! The container looks exactly like a tofu container too, which fits the concept and made it more fun. It's even better dipped or sprinkled with soybean powder. This was my grandmother's favorite — it had a faint soybean flavor at the finish and wasn't too sweet, so it'd be great for kids too.

Fresh strawberry latte (6,000 won)

My grandmother tried this and said it was so delicious she drank the whole thing in one go. No artificial strawberry flavor at all — it genuinely tasted like real strawberries blended fresh. Great for kids, and I'd recommend it for adults too.

Café latte (5,200 won)

After trying everything, I figured the coffee looked so good and the plain latte would be tasty too, so I got it to go — and it really was delicious. The beans have a nice acidity that pairs perfectly with a latte. The shot-and-milk combination hits that exact nutty note. Honestly, the best latte I've had in a while.

Café latte to go

Mocha bun (2,800 won)

Filled with cream inside, so it goes well with coffee. Fluffy and light, not too heavy to pair with coffee. The cream isn't overdone and the sweetness is just right — recommended.

Cinnamon bread (4,700 won)

I expected something like hotteok (sweet Korean pancake), but it had cinnamon and nuts, plus red bean paste inside, making it sweet with a nice cinnamon aroma. As long as you're not averse to cinnamon, this is a great pick. Our whole family enjoyed it a lot. Recommended when you're craving something sweet!

Why MIMI Coffee Mill works for a visit with grandparents

With its signature menu and plenty of mill-themed, familiar dishes true to its name, this is a great place to bring elders. Sweet options like the MIMI cream latte, strawberry latte, and soybean sundubu ice cream really hit the spot for my grandmother's taste.

Run by an owner who clearly knows coffee, both the beans and the signature drinks were genuinely satisfying — a real hit with the whole family's taste. The bread was good, the drinks were good, and with its distinctive drinks and desserts, it's a place people of any age can enjoy. Recommended for family gatherings or dates — a Dangjin, Chungnam café favorite.
