What is Yakiniku Pungyeong near Indeogwon Station?
Yakiniku Pungyeong (야끼니꾸풍경) is a beef yakiniku (Japanese-style grilled meat) restaurant at 28 Botdeul 2-gil, 1st floor, Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do, near Indeogwon Station. I visited this famous Uiwang yakiniku spot! There is parking for 8 cars in front of and beside the building!

I heard Yakiniku Pungyeong opened here in 2012 and has kept the same spot ever since! People come from Uiwang, Indeogwon, Gwacheon and many other nearby areas! My older sister told me it's really delicious, so we went together!
Group seating and reservations at Yakiniku Pungyeong
The restaurant is spacious, with group seating for up to 30 people. We reserved, so the table was already set when we arrived! It looks great for group gatherings or company dinners too!
There were tons of awards, plus certification marks and newspaper clippings on display.

What side dishes come with the meal?
The basic side dishes are kimchi and pickles: mustard leaf kimchi, pickled gungchae (stem lettuce), young radish kimchi and pickled chili peppers. They really go well with the meat! They were perfect for cleansing the palate right when things started to feel a bit rich!
How does the skirt steak at Yakiniku Pungyeong taste?
The skirt steak (₩31,000) was super chewy and the marbling was amazing, T_T and the savory depth was the best. I heard skirt steak is a cut you only get in a tiny amount from each cow.
Is beef tongue good for a first-timer?
The beef tongue was chewy through and through. It was actually my first time trying it, and I had some prejudice about it, you know?? A texture I'd never had before..!
They gave us green onions to eat with it in case it tasted gamey, but maybe because it's the premium cut, it wasn't gamey at all!
Are the beef tartare gamtae seaweed rice balls worth ordering?
The beef tartare seaweed rice balls were really good. There's as much tartare as rice, so it was just... so, so delicious. You can finish with a fresh, bright last bite T_T

We ordered the sea urchin (₩48,000) too, haha. One bite and it was full of the scent of the sea, so delicious.

While we were eating the main dishes, extra free snacks came out! Tomatoes, cheese canapés, tiramisu and more, and they were great as drinking snacks too.
