As the weather turns chilly, I find myself wearing knits, sweatshirts and cotton tees a lot, and that's when lint and fuzz start to bug me. Clothes you wear often get a little rougher on the surface with every round of washing and drying.
This time I tried the Panasonic NI-LR002 cordless lint remover. It's a compact unit of about 9cm with a powerful 8500RPM motor, precision 6-layer blades and 3 speed settings. On a cotton tee that already looked tidy, it still gave a clear "one more clean-up" feeling.
What kind of lint remover is the Panasonic NI-LR002?
The Panasonic NI-LR002 is a handheld cordless lint remover with a motor of up to 8500RPM and precision 6-layer blades. From the clean cream-colored package onward, everything felt uncluttered. The front shows the Panasonic logo along with the model name, NI-LR002 Lint Remover.

It's small, but the motor spins at up to 8500RPM, and the precision 6-layer blades tidy up the lint on the fabric surface. Being cordless, it was also easy to spread a garment out and move around freely while removing lint.
Panasonic NI-LR002 contents and usage tips

Open the Panasonic NI-LR002 box and you get the main unit, a USB charging cable, a cleaning brush and an instruction manual. Only the essentials are included, so setting it up for the first time wasn't difficult.

On the top of the unit, illustrations show how to detach and reattach the lint tray and cover. You twist to remove it, and when putting it back, just twist all the way until it locks properly.

It was also convenient that simple usage tips are printed right on the body, so you don't have to keep digging out the manual.
Size and charging: fits in your hand, charges over USB-C

The Panasonic NI-LR002 weighs about 200g and measures about 9cm, and in your hand it's genuinely smaller than you'd expect. It's ultra-light and compact, so wrapping your hand around it feels effortless.

What I especially liked is the USB-C charging. You don't need to carry a dedicated adapter; you can just use the USB-C charging setup you already have.

One charge gives up to about 60 minutes of use, which is plenty for going through several knits or cotton tees in one go. Not having to worry about cord length or where the outlet is was another plus of a cordless lint remover.
How are the 6-layer blades and clear lint tray built?

Around the front button of the Panasonic NI-LR002 there are lamps that show its operating status, and the transparent part on top is the lint tray where the removed lint collects.

Because the tray is clear, you can see right away how full it is. It also sucks the lint inward as it removes it, so not much fuzz flies around, which was nice.

Open the cover at the bottom and you'll see a wide metal mesh, with precision 6-layer stainless steel blades inside. Only the lint sticking up from the fabric surface goes through the mesh and gets cut, which makes it good for neatening the fabric.
How do you use the 3 speed settings?

With the Panasonic NI-LR002, a single front button controls both power and speed. Each press raises the level, and the number of lit lamps changes with it.
Level 1 lights one lamp, level 2 lights two and level 3 lights three, so you can see the current level at a glance. I liked being able to pick the strength you need depending on the fabric and how bad the lint is.
For thin or delicate clothes, it seems easiest to start at a low level, and for thicker fabrics with noticeable lint, to check the result as you step the level up.
How did it do on a cotton tee from the dryer?

This time I used the Panasonic NI-LR002 on a cotton tee I actually wear a lot.

It had just been through the dryer, so it looked fairly clean at first glance, but up close there were still fine lint and fiber fuzz on the surface.
As I moved the Panasonic lint remover slowly over it, the tiny bits of lint on the surface were cleared away, and the fabric looked smoother and tidier.

I didn't think there'd be much by eye, but when I opened the lint tray afterward, quite a lot of gray lint and dust had collected inside. Being able to see right away how much it cleaned up was really satisfying.
Beyond cotton tees, it seems good for easy home care of knits, sweatshirts and cardigans, the clothes you wear often and that pill. For delicate fabrics like cashmere, it's best to check the fabric's condition and start carefully at a low level.
Who is the Panasonic NI-LR002 for?
Having used the Panasonic NI-LR002, I found it small and light yet quite satisfying at removing lint. It packs in the features you need: an 8500RPM motor, precision 6-layer blades, 3 speed settings and automatic lint suction.
Above all, I liked the cordless use, USB-C charging and a compact size that fits in one hand. If you want a lint remover you can keep in the closet and grab when needed, or you regularly care for knits and cotton tees whenever the seasons change, this cordless Panasonic lint remover is worth a look.
