When you meet a friend or go out with family in Suwon, you want good food and a nice place to relax, right? That day I was craving bagels, so I searched for places worth visiting in Suwon and ended up at Orange Bagel (오렌지베이글), a well-known bakery café in Suwon.

Is parking easy at Orange Bagel?

Orange Bagel has a large private parking lot in front of the shop, so it was very convenient to visit by car. When you go around looking for cafés in Suwon, sometimes you like the taste and the atmosphere but hesitate because parking is a hassle. Orange Bagel has plenty of space, so it seems like a good choice to visit with friends or family.

Bagels in plenty were on display starting from the 1st floor. There were plain, mild bagels, bagels with toppings, and ones to enjoy with cream cheese. There were so many kinds that I ended up browsing for a long time.

After choosing the bagels and drinks you want on the 1st floor, you can go up to the 2nd floor. It is much bigger than the 1st floor and has a relaxed feel. It looked great for chatting with friends and comfortable for families too. For a family out in Suwon with kids, picking bagels yourself is fun, and the café space is so large that it seemed fine for a short rest as well.

What I chose at Orange Bagel

The four ordered bagels and plain cream cheese

That day I picked the plain bagel, potato bagel, crab and shrimp bagel and scallion cream bacon bagel, and I also ordered plain cream cheese to go with them.

The plain bagel, as the most basic item, was all about a mild flavor. It was chewy outside and mild inside, easy to eat as it was, but spread with plain cream cheese it got a nutty, soft richness and tasted much better.

The potato bagel adds the fluffy, nutty taste of potato, so it felt a bit more filling than a regular bagel. The subtle potato flavor blends with the typical mild bagel taste, and I thought it would suit breakfast or brunch well.

What does the crab and shrimp bagel taste like?

The crab and shrimp bagel especially caught my eye among the items I chose that day. With crab meat and shrimp inside the bagel, each bite had a nutty seafood flavor, and the springy texture of the shrimp really came through.

In the scallion cream bacon bagel, the salty, nutty bacon gets the distinctive aroma of scallion and smooth cream, so even though the flavor is rich, it wasn't as greasy as I expected. With the chewy bagel itself added in, it felt less like a light dessert and more like a hearty brunch. I heard it is one of Orange Bagel's popular items, and after trying it, I understood why.

Orange Bagel overall review

Table of bagels enjoyed at Orange Bagel

After visiting Orange Bagel this time, I felt it is not just a place to grab bagels and go, but a café where spending time is part of the fun. The wide variety of bagels makes choosing fun for bread lovers, and the space is big enough to chat with a friend or relax with family.

It seems especially good on days when you want brunch in Suwon or are looking for a different kind of Suwon date. If you are searching for places worth visiting in Suwon and want tasty bakery items along with a spacious café, Orange Bagel is worth a stop.

I picked four bagels that day and compared them, and from the plain and cream cheese combination to the crab and shrimp and the scallion cream bacon, each had its own charm, so next time I want to try the other items one by one.
