It was one of those days when I really craved a burger, so I dropped by near Hanarum Children's Library to return a book, and a red building caught my eye. It was 666 Burger, a burger place in Maetan-dong, Suwon. The exterior has a strong American roadside burger joint feel, so it was hard to walk past. The clean red-and-white building photographs beautifully, and the apartment complex right next door keeps the surroundings quiet, so it was nice to eat in peace. Parking was easy, and it felt totally fine to come alone, so it's perfect for anyone looking for a solo meal spot in Maetan-dong.

Is 666 Burger comfortable for eating alone?

The dining room at 666 Burger Main Branch is spacious and pleasant, and with window seats and plenty of room between tables, it was easy to eat alone. Inside, it was much bigger than I expected. White tile and red accents made me feel like I'd stepped into an American fast-food movie! There are window seats too, so you can enjoy a burger in the sunshine, and the generous spacing between tables was comfortable. Even the writing on the walls was so charming that I have no idea how many photos I took before the food arrived. It's a tidy place, easy for a date and just as easy for a solo meal.

The 666 Burger menu has plenty of burgers, including Classic Pose, Garlic Boom, Cheese in the Trap, Texas Red, Diablo and Grilled Hawaii, so I deliberated for a long time. Even the names have personality. A set comes with fries and a drink, and the sides, such as cheese balls, churros, chicken nuggets and fries, are varied enough that picking is half the fun. I chose the Garlic Boom set and added cheese balls, churros and chicken nuggets. Once it was all laid out, the spread was so generous that just looking at it put me in a good mood.

If you eat in at 666 Burger, you can choose seasoned fries, and they sprinkle on plenty of cheese seasoning. My personal favorite among the sides that day was the cheese balls. First, the fries! Hot potatoes coated in a generous layer of savory cheese seasoning, and I couldn't stop reaching for them. Salty and nutty, I almost finished them before touching the burger. The chicken nuggets were crispy outside and moist inside, and much more mild than they look, so I kept going back. And the cheese balls! The moment I bit in, the cheese stretched out, and I was truly happy. Crispy outside and packed with rich cheese inside, I felt like I could eat any number of them. The churros were freshly fried and warm, with plenty of cinnamon sugar, a perfect dessert after the meal.

The 666 Burger Garlic Boom burger is a thick patty with lettuce, onion, bacon and pickles, covered in plenty of garlic flakes, and thanks to the garlic sauce and flakes combo it never felt greasy to the end. Here comes today's star, the Garlic Boom burger! The big bun was so full of ingredients that my mouth watered just looking, and with the first bite I understood right away why it's popular. The patty was juicy, the onion crisp and fresh, and the salty bacon and tangy pickles went really well together. Above all, the garlic sauce and garlic flakes combo is the best! It kept a burger that could easily get heavy delicious all the way through. The bun was soft and moist, held everything together firmly, and didn't fall apart until the last bite, so it was easy to eat too.

Would I recommend 666 Burger for a solo meal in Maetan-dong?

The big plus of 666 Burger in Maetan-dong, Suwon is an atmosphere where coming alone feels not awkward at all. It's a good casual stop after returning books at Hanarum Children's Library, and it also works well for a solo meal in Maetan-dong, a simple meal with a friend, or a date. After a tasty burger and generous sides, I felt full and happy. If you want a proper handmade burger in an interior full of American vibes, it's a place I'd want to visit again! Next time I definitely want to try Cheese in the Trap and Texas Red. A good burger makes me happy any time. 🍔❤️
