IFC Mall Yeouido tteokbokki, full house at 6pm dinner: Hyeonseonine

I had some errands in Yeouido a few days ago, and while I was there I stopped by Hyeonseonine Tteokbokki for dinner — sharing my review here! 😃

Where is Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch, and when is it open?

IFC Mall, my go-to for Yeouido tteokbokki! Walk through the moving walkway connected to Yeouido Station and head into IFC Mall, and you'll spot the entrance 🍡 Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is apparently popular for its clean interior and generous portions of Korean snack food.

It's located inside IFC Mall in Yeouido, tucked into the middle passage. A convenient spot to swing by for lunch or dinner while you're at IFC Mall Yeouido.

How busy is Hyeonseonine at 6pm, and where can you sit?

Inside Hyeonseonine Tteokbokki, Yeouido

I got there around 6pm and it was already nearly full (?). Guess the location does well for foot traffic. Besides the inside, you could also eat outside — they'd set up several tables and chairs in the outdoor corridor so people could eat there when the inside filled up 😊

What's on the menu at Hyeonseonine in IFC Mall?

There were various set menus including tteokbokki, mini gimbap (seaweed rice roll), sundae, and fritters, and apparently the Hyeonseoni Beer Set — instant tteokbokki paired with draft beer — is especially popular 🍻 I was going to just order single dishes, but ended up ordering a bunch of different things because I wanted to try a bit of everything haha 🐽

What we ordered at Hyeonseonine

• Instant tteokbokki
• Fish cake skewers
• Sundae
• Tuna mayo rice bowl
• Zero Cola

After ordering, we grabbed pickled radish, soy sauce, salt, and small plates from the self-serve bar. The open kitchen let you see the cooking process transparently, which felt clean, and each table had its own induction burner so the food stayed hot the whole time haha.

Instant tteokbokki for two, 22,000 won at medium spice

Instant tteokbokki for two, ₩22,000. Loaded with jjolmyeon noodles, mixed vegetables, yaki-mandu dumplings, egg, and more 😆 You could adjust the spice level too — I went with mild that day and it was just right! If you like it spicy, go ahead and order the spicy version :)

Hadn't had yaki-mandu in a while and man, it was good 🥟

Adding the 6,000 won tuna mayo rice bowl and 6,500 won sundae

Tuna mayo rice bowl, ₩6,000. Can't skip the rice ball. I was too lazy so I just mixed it and dug in — the combo of tuna mayo and tteokbokki really needs no explanation, so good.

Sundae, ₩6,500. The freshly made sundae came out half organ meat, half sundae, but you could also choose to get just the sundae on its own.

I'm an organ meat person, so dipping the organ meat into the tteokbokki broth was amazing.

Rounded it out with some protein-packed egg too 🥚

Eating it all as a set spread was really nice >_<

Especially loved how much jjolmyeon noodles were packed into the instant tteokbokki! Jjolmyeon is love 🥰

Is Hyeonseonine worth it for a Yeouido dinner?

That day I ate my fill happily at Hyeonseonine Tteokbokki in Yeouido and headed home 🏡 If you're looking for a Yeouido restaurant, a Yeouido tteokbokki spot, a good tteokbokki restaurant near The Hyundai, or Korean snack food in general, I recommend 'Hyeonseonine Tteokbokki' Yeouido branch〰️
