Parking and how to get there from Geumcheon-gu Office Station
Park near pillar No.50 on B2 of Lotte Mart Geumcheon, then head to the store entrance nearby and take the elevator up to the 1st floor — that's the easiest way to find it.

Once you spot the Ddeum sign, you've arrived at this Geumcheon-gu favorite.

There's also a lunch menu, so you can drop by for a casual meal without much fuss. Plenty of people were eating solo at the bar-table seats too. Don't worry, just walk in — and note that a 3rd anniversary event was running as well.

Celebrities have visited too, and the wall of signatures is proof that plenty of people have already been to this Doksan-dong favorite, Ddeum Sukseong Hanwoo No.9.
Inside Ddeum Sukseong Hanwoo No.9: bar seats and family tables
Ddeum Sukseong Hanwoo No.9 has a unique layout combining bar-table seats and regular table seats. Both types of seats come with staff grilling service.

The layout really is unusual — you can eat the lunch menu at the bar table, or have your beef grilled right there! Of course, staff handle the grilling for you. All you have to do is sit back and eat.
Or there are table seats good for family gatherings or larger groups. And don't worry, you get the grilling service there too.

Aged beef is a work of art shaped by time and temperature.
(Of course — we came here to admire this noble artwork.)

Wine with hanwoo — an unbeatable combo. The perfect pairing whenever you want to set the mood.
Free side dishes: monkfish liver, seasoned cockles and salmon roll sushi
Ordering the hanwoo special set brought a basic table setting along with complimentary cockle salad, ankimo (anglerfish liver), and salmon roll sushi. That's a generous menu lineup from Ddeum Sukseong Hanwoo No.9.

Cockle salad, ankimo (anglerfish liver), and salmon roll sushi — so many good things, all complimentary. I'd never pass up ankimo, so this being a free side felt unreal.
Piling toppings onto the salmon roll however you like already got the dopamine flowing before the beef even arrived.

We all raved about the scallion salad. I've had scallion salad countless times, but this was hands down the best ever — it didn't overpower anything and paired perfectly with the hanwoo, exploding with umami.

Salt, fish sauce and binchotan charcoal: what Ddeum Sukseong No.9 grills with
At this Doksan-dong favorite, Ddeum Sukseong Hanwoo No.9, nothing about the ingredients feels half-hearted.
- Healthy salt: domestic sun-dried salt that's had its bittern removed over 5 years, then roasted in-house.
- House-made fish sauce: made fresh from a whole boatload of fish, using 100% domestic fish and sun-dried salt aged over 3 years, then naturally fermented for over 5 years. All dishes served to guests are made with this fish sauce.

Bincho-tan — top-grade charcoal made by burning hard wood for 20 days in an earthen kiln over 1400°C, according to the restaurant.
What comes in the 145,000-won hanwoo special set (500g)
Ddeum Sukseong Hanwoo No.9's hanwoo special set is 500g for ₩145,000, made up of sirloin, ggomsal (shoulder tender), saltchisal (chuck flap), and chimasal (skirt) — though the exact composition can vary. This kind of hanwoo quality speaks for itself, so let's take a moment to appreciate each cut.

How good is the staff grilling service?
The staff grilled each cut to just the right doneness with real care. All we had to do was eat as it came off the grill — so easy. Even with staff right there, it never felt awkward; the meal stayed comfortable and relaxed, which isn't always the case at places like this.
Rice was ₩1,000. The freshly cooked rice came out beautifully shaped — we all complimented how neatly it was scooped. But honestly, the rice itself was cooked really well too. Every grain still had bite; if there's such a thing as a rice-cooking competition, this place would take first place.

As they grilled each cut, they explained what it was too. Even by eye you could tell the cuts apart. Eating with that knowledge made the texture noticeably different, and somehow the flavor seemed subtly different too — a fun, novel experience.

While we were busy eating, a whole plate's worth had been grilled. They don't just grill nonstop — they pace it to match how fast you're eating, which is a nice touch.
Oddly enough, in front of such reverent-looking beef, I found myself going quiet today (though I've clearly said plenty already). We dipped it in salt and topped it with wasabi. Eating it with myeongi-namul (wild garlic leaves) is always a win. This was my first time pairing it with basil pesto, and that turned out to be a wonderfully unusual delicacy too.

Eating it with the grilled vegetables was amazing too. Hanwoo is delicious no matter when you eat it — before I knew it, all my meat was gone, lost in a haze of compliments.
Finishing with 5,000-won hanwoo ramyeon and cabbage kimchi
Ddeum Sukseong Hanwoo No.9's hanwoo ramyeon (instant noodle soup) is ₩5,000. There's no way we could leave without dessert — I mean, ramyeon.
The hanwoo ramyeon, topped with hanwoo, was spicy and sharp — perfect even as a hangover cure. We congratulated ourselves for ordering it. The scallions on top gave it an extra freshness boost✔ Slurping it down, it really was delicious🍜
Only those who order the ramyeon get to try this incredible napa cabbage kimchi!! Wow, is this place secretly a kimchi specialist too?😲 Just spicy enough and perfectly fermented — genuinely delicious.

Ddeum Sukseong Hanwoo No.9🥩 — a favorite near Geumcheon-gu Office, great for family gatherings or a date night out. Whenever I'm craving Doksan-dong beef, this is now the place I settle on. Sit back, let the staff handle the grilling, and enjoy some hanwoo in a relaxed atmosphere.
