It had been a while, but my friends from Ilsan and I finally made up our minds and took a day trip to Gangnam..! While figuring out what to have for dinner, I heard there was a Blue Ribbon handmade burger place nearby, so we went straight there. It's Wit N Meat Gangnam (위트앤미트 강남점).
Apparently a famous celebrity has recommended it too. I wondered how good it could possibly be... and my friend took a bite and said it was the best handmade burger she'd ever had, haha.

Wit N Meat Gangnam is about a 3-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 4 and about an 8-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 11. It's open daily 11:00–21:00, with last order at 20:30.

The restaurant is on a hill, so you have to climb a bit... but Blue Ribbon? Just bear it.
What is the atmosphere at Wit N Meat Gangnam like?
The moment you open the door, it feels like you've traveled to America: a casual, vintage burger joint.
Personally, it gave me the vibe of a burger place you'd stumble on next to a gas station while driving down an American highway, hahaha. I really liked the casual yet vintage mood. It was also bigger inside than I expected.
Further inside there are another 4–5 tables, so seating felt fairly roomy. There were plenty of seats, but it was quite crowded. Some tables were already reserved too..!
What are the menu and prices at Wit N Meat Gangnam?
Burgers at Wit N Meat Gangnam start in the low-to-mid ₩10,000s, and for ₩5,500 more you can make it a set with fries and a drink.
What I found interesting is that the sandwiches are really popular too! Looking around, lots of tables ordered one burger and one sandwich. I definitely want to try a sandwich next time.

At the back of Wit N Meat Gangnam there's a self bar.
It was stocked with a really wide variety of things.

- Wet wipes
- Hygiene gloves
- Water for washing your hands
On top of that, there's a separate space where you can wash your hands before eating your burger, which made me even happier.
The restroom is also at the back of the restaurant, so it was convenient to use.
The looks alone are amazing
The burgers we'd been waiting for finally arrived..!
My first impression... it was so full of American vibes that I thought, this would be the best after surfing. (Of course? I've never surfed. I'm just writing exactly what I felt..haha) The patty was thick and the ingredients were generous, so my mouth watered just looking at it.
How was the Chili Cheese Bacon Burger?
The Chili Cheese Bacon Burger (₩12,800) is loaded with chili sauce, and it's what my friend chose.
There's a generous amount of chili sauce, and that sauce is the real kick!
The moderate spiciness and savory depth went so well with the bacon, and the more I ate, the more I kept reaching for it. My friend said this burger was the tastiest one.
What about the signature Almighty Burger set?
The Almighty Burger set (₩17,000) is Wit N Meat's signature menu item, and personally I thought this one was the tastiest! As a signature item, the balance was really good.
The tender patty, salty cheese sauce and crunchy red onion went together so well.
It's a combination that's neither too much nor too little, and I was really satisfied. The fries that came with it were crispy outside and moist inside, so I kept picking at them. They went really well with the burger too.
⭐ Verdict: a Gangnam Station burger place worth coming back to
Wit N Meat Gangnam was a handmade burger place that made me think, for the first time in a long while, I'd come back here!
I fully agree it deserves the Blue Ribbon... the food, the atmosphere and the service were all satisfying.
I visited with a meal voucher, but honestly I'd be happy to come back here with my own money!
If you're looking for a proper handmade burger in Gangnam, a burger near Gangnam Station, or a good brunch spot, I confidently recommend Wit N Meat Gangnam. Next time I really want to try the sandwiches so many people were eating, haha.
