Why Eosiljang for sashimi takeout near Sol Beach in Yangyang?
Eosiljang Sashimi Takeout (어실장 회포장) is a sashimi shop near Osan Port in Sonyang-myeon, Yangyang, and it's where my family, staying near Solbeach, picked up dinner to eat in our room. It was a family trip to Yangyang. The weather was lovely, and we spent the day enjoying the sea with our child, so by evening we just wanted a relaxed meal at the hotel.
Since we were staying near Solbeach, we thought it would be better to grab fresh sashimi to go than to wait in a long line somewhere. If you travel to Yangyang often, you know it's not easy to find a really good sashimi takeout place. Because it's a tourist area, some places are pricey or leave you wanting more.

Then I found Eosiljang, which had lots of reviews recommended by locals and kept showing up when I searched for Yangyang sashimi takeout. I decided to trust it and go. Many reviews said it has a real Yangyang local vibe, and when we got there, I could see right away why.

Eosiljang opening hours
Eosiljang is open daily from 15:00 to 22:00. From Monday to Thursday, though, hours may change depending on the fishing catch, so I recommend calling before you go.
Where is Eosiljang, and what about parking?
Eosiljang sits in a quiet fishing village near Osan Port, between Songjeon Beach and Solbeach Yangyang, and we could park comfortably in front of the shop.

It's not in the crowded center of a tourist area, so the mood was much more relaxed, and for a family traveling with a child, easy parking felt really important.

The Eosiljang sign stood out from afar, with "sashimi takeout and delivery" written in big letters, so it was easy to find. Personally, I love local sashimi shops with this kind of feel. It seemed like the kind of place actual residents use, rather than a flashy tourist strip.

It's an easy drive from Solbeach, and for people traveling around Seorak Haewon, Naksansa Temple or Hajodae, it looked convenient on the route too. So I think I can recommend it to anyone hunting for good food near Naksan in Yangyang as well. Good location and good taste, so I imagine many travelers looking for sashimi takeout in Yangyang stop by.
Inside Eosiljang and how to order

Eosiljang is basically run as a takeout shop, so the easiest way is to phone in your order before you go. On weekends and in peak season especially, reserving first seemed like it would make things much smoother.

The inside isn't big like a large restaurant, but it was very tidy, as a takeout specialist should be. There was a small space to wait, and I got the impression that it's kept clean overall.

Freshness and hygiene matter most with sashimi, and seeing the inside, I could understand to some degree why so many people recommend Eosiljang for Yangyang sashimi takeout.

The owner's introduction says they use only domestic fish and pay close attention to cleanliness, and you could feel that in the shop itself. I think people who look for good food in Sonyang-myeon, Yangyang would be happy here too.
Eosiljang menu: from mixed sashimi to mul-hoe

Eosiljang's signature item is the mixed sashimi platter, and the makeup seemed to vary a little depending on the catch. The fish changes with the season (flatfish, rockfish, flounder, sea bass, amberjack, sea bream and so on), and since they put together whatever is in the best condition that day, I trusted it even more.

Our family ordered the mixed sashimi for two. They also had flatfish sashimi, a flatfish and rockfish set, spicy fish-bone stew, mul-hoe (cold raw fish soup) and hoe-deopbap (raw fish rice bowl).

They say the mul-hoe uses homemade seasoning, and I definitely want to order it next time.

If you're looking for dinner in Yangyang, this is a great setup to eat in your room, and if you want something quieter and cleaner than a sashimi center, it's a perfectly satisfying option. If I were making a list of recommended sashimi restaurants in Yangyang, I'd happily put Eosiljang on it.
Eosiljang's mixed sashimi for two: contents and taste

After ordering at Eosiljang, we wandered around the area for a bit. In the stream out front, a school of pufferfish was swimming around, and our child was fascinated and watched for a long time. While we were doing that, the packing was done faster than I expected.

Back at the hotel, when I opened the package, it was more generous than I expected. Even though it's the platter for two, there was no feeling of too little sashimi, and abalone, sea squirt and shrimp were included too. It felt solid and honest, with no showy arrangement just to look big.
Seaweed, garlic, chili peppers and other things to eat alongside came too, and above all the packing was really neat. I squeezed a little lemon over the sashimi and tried it, and the texture was great. It was chewy yet fresh, and went down clean with no fishy taste.

The seafood that came with it was in good condition too, and overall I thought the value was excellent.

So I don't think it's an exaggeration that Eosiljang is called a top Yangyang sashimi takeout spot. The kids said it was delicious and ate well, and the whole family had a satisfying dinner.

Among Yangyang sashimi takeout places, not many make me want to go back, but Eosiljang had good reason to.

You could feel the care and freshness typical of a Yangyang local sashimi shop, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for Yangyang sashimi takeout.
Who is Eosiljang for?

I recommend Eosiljang to people traveling around Solbeach, Seorak Haewon, Naksansa and Hajodae who want to eat sashimi comfortably in their room. When you eat sashimi on a trip, freshness matters, but so does how easily you can enjoy it, and Eosiljang was very satisfying on that front.
I'd recommend it to people staying near Solbeach, people wondering about dinner after visiting Seorak Haewon, and people who've toured Naksansa or Hajodae and want something easy to eat at the hotel. The value was especially good, the contents were satisfying, and even the packing was neat.

Of the Yangyang sashimi takeout places we tried on this trip, it was the most memorable, and I plan to go again on our next Yangyang trip. With its local-favorite vibe, fresh sashimi and easy prices, it more than covered a meal on the road. If anyone asked me for a Yangyang sashimi recommendation, it would be the first place that comes to mind.
