Why I finally handed over my stroller for washing in Bucheon
A stroller is something you need every single time you go out with your child. Even when it looks clean, dust and gunk build up from the handle to the seat to the crevices. Since it's where my kid actually sits, I always thought I should wash it once in a while.
But taking it apart and carrying it to a laundry service myself felt like such a hassle that I kept putting it off. Then I got to try Ppallaebang Gajang (유모차 카시트 운동화 빨래방 가장), a place well known for stroller washing in Bucheon.

Besides strollers, you can also bring car seats and sneakers, so it's a good place to know about if you have kids. Bulky baby gear like strollers and car seats is hard to carry around even when it needs washing, right? I kept thinking I should wash my stroller too, yet it took me a while to actually do it. This time the doorstep pickup service made it much less of a burden.
What did the stroller look like before washing?
When I took photos of the stroller before washing, I could see dirt on the seat and in the crevices that I had been missing. Since my child uses it every day, I thought I kept it pretty clean.

But looking closely, I noticed spots like the seat and the crevices that I normally didn't pay much attention to.

When you're out with a child, outside dust sticks to everything, and there are snacks and spilled drinks and other dirt that's hard to spot. Maybe because I use it every day and am used to it, I only checked the parts that show on the surface. Taking photos before sending it in let me look once more at places I never examined closely.
How does stroller pickup work?
For pickup at Ppallaebang Gajang, you just leave the stroller at your door as instructed and they come and take it. This doorstep pickup was the thing I liked most about sending my stroller in.

I had assumed I'd have to visit the shop myself or load a big stroller into the car, but just leaving it outside the door was really convenient and saved a lot of time and effort. If you've been putting off stroller washing because it's a hassle, a pickup service like this would be very welcome.
Do they check the dirt before and after washing under a microscope?
Ppallaebang Gajang checks the stroller's dirt level before and after washing under a microscope. This was the most impressive part of the experience for me.

It's easy to think a stroller is reasonably clean as long as there are no visible stains or dust. But when I saw the microscope photos from before washing, I was shocked — it was dirtier than I expected. You can't see it normally, so I never gave it much thought, but seeing it in a photo made me feel much more strongly why stroller washing is needed.
I liked being able to check the before and after states myself, and they didn't just take the stroller and be done: they explained in detail what to look at, which made me trust them even more.
How do you get the stroller back after washing?
After washing, they wrapped the stroller neatly in plastic and brought it back to my door.

I didn't have to go pick it up, so from the first pickup to the final delivery it was really easy to use. I had assumed that sending in a stroller, which is big and has lots of parts, would be a hassle in itself, but leaving it at the door and getting it back when it's done made it far simpler than I expected.

Especially when I compared the before and after photos of the spots that had looked dirty, I found myself looking again at dirt I hadn't noticed before washing.

I used to check only what showed on the surface, but comparing before and after made me think I should take care of the stroller regularly.
Stroller washing in Bucheon this easy? My overall review
What I liked most about Ppallaebang Gajang was the convenient pickup and delivery and being able to see the before and after states myself. Seeing the microscope photos before washing also taught me that you can't judge how dirty something is from its surface alone.

They showed me the before and after photos with a detailed explanation, and the service was friendly, so I felt good the whole time. Next time I'd like to have my child's car seat washed at Ppallaebang Gajang too.
Ppallaebang Gajang in Bucheon made stroller washing easy with doorstep pickup and delivery, and I was very satisfied that I could even check the before and after dirt under a microscope.
