Seafood restaurant in Seogwipo for breakfast with a baby: Jejurowoon
In short
Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon Seongsan Ilchulbong Branch is a seafood restaurant in Seongsan, Seogwipo, where I had breakfast with my baby. We ordered the ₩24,000-per-person A set; the seasoned braised cutlassfish and mild grilled tilefish stood out, and the baby chair and children’s tableware made the meal easy.

Where did we have breakfast with a baby in Seongsan?
I visited Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon for a hearty breakfast near our accommodation. It is on Sinyang-ro in Seongsan-eup, and even in the morning, many guests were already eating. We had the A set, which included braised cutlassfish, with our baby.
What were the parking and atmosphere like?
At the time of our visit, we parked on the roadside directly in front of the restaurant. It was convenient to visit by car because we did not have to look around for a separate parking spot.
The exterior looked neat and was not difficult to find. Inside, it was more spacious and orderly than I expected.
Even during the busy breakfast hours, the owner was kind and attentive. That made it comfortable to stay while we ate.
What were the set prices and what did they include?
At the time the original post was written, the set prices were as follows. Every set included grilled tilefish, sticky pot rice, and soy-marinated crab, with either seafood ttukbaegi (earthenware pot stew) or sea urchin seaweed soup.
- A set: ₩24,000 per person, with braised cutlassfish in addition to the standard items
- B set: ₩21,000 per person, with mackerel kimchi stew in addition to the standard items
- C set: ₩16,000 per person, standard items
- D set: ₩18,000 per person, with stir-fried black pork in addition to the standard items
Our A set came with braised cutlassfish, grilled tilefish, soy-marinated crab, sticky pot rice, and sea urchin seaweed soup. With the side dishes laid out as well, it felt like a Jeju-style meal.
Did the sticky pot rice pair well with the soy-marinated crab?
The sticky pot rice had enough chewiness to be good on its own. Paired with the braised cutlassfish sauce or soy-marinated crab, one bowl of rice disappeared quickly.
The soy-marinated crab did not taste only strongly salty; its seasoning felt well balanced.
The crab meat was well infused with the soy sauce marinade. I liked picking out the meat, placing it over the chewy rice, and adding a little of the sauce.
Nationwide delivery was also available for the soy-marinated crab. I saw other guests placing delivery orders while we ate.
What were the braised cutlassfish seasoning and radish like?
Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon says it uses 100% Jeju-grown cutlassfish. I was curious about braised cutlassfish made with Jeju cutlassfish.
The seasoning had soaked well into the cutlassfish. When I picked out the flesh, lightly coated it with sauce, and placed it over rice, its savory saltiness went well with the rice. There was more cutlassfish in the broth than was visible from the outside.
I also liked having the braised cutlassfish sauce with the chewy rice. The radish in the dish was cooked so tender that it split easily with a light touch of chopsticks, and its sweetness complemented the salty seasoning.
What was the grilled tilefish my child ate like?
The tilefish was served nicely browned. It was nutty on the outside and mild inside, making it good with rice.
The mild grilled tilefish was a good pairing between bites of soy-marinated crab and braised cutlassfish. It was nutty and gently salty without a fishy taste. The child who came with us ate it so well that they kept asking for more.
Are there items needed for dining with a baby?
Baby chairs and children’s tableware were available, and I liked that they were kept clean.
We enjoyed not only the braised cutlassfish, soy-marinated crab, and grilled tilefish, but also the side dishes and rice. On our next trip to Jeju, I would like to return with my parents.
