Shabre Garden (샤브르정원), the hot shabu-shabu buffet where you can enjoy shabu-shabu and sushi together, just opened a branch in Nam-gu, Ulsan, so I went right away❗️ Here's my full review: the weekend opening-time wait, the menu and prices, parking, and how the buffet actually tasted❣️
Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch: location, hours and parking

Is there a wait at weekend opening time?
The place was packed with customers right after weekend opening, but there was no wait at all✔️ It's a brand-new building with the buffet just moved in, so the inside is bright, shiny and comfortable, and you can still smell that new-place smell➰ The seats in the video are not the only ones; there are plenty more further inside.
What shabu-shabu ingredients and sauces are there?
The shabu-shabu corner has vegetables, noodles, fish cake balls, quail eggs, rice cakes and more, all fresh and clean🍀 Staff keep restocking two kinds of beef from the back, and there's refill broth (original and spicy), rice paper in two shapes, and a sauce station〰️
The sauces include chili, peanut, a house special sauce and a sweet-salty soy-based sauce, plus Cheongyang chili peppers, minced garlic and scallions! And that's only the stuff for shabu-shabu, yet it's already a huge spread 😳 But that's not all, haha,,
Sides, sushi and desserts at the buffet
The sides at Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch include assorted banchan (Korean side dishes), stir-fried vegetables, meatball pasta, eggplant in garlic sauce, glutinous sweet-and-sour pork, candied sweet potato, shrimp tempura, steamed cypress-steamer dishes, takoyaki, stir-fried udon, duck, dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken), tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), fried rice, assorted salads, pizza and all kinds of fried food. And even though it isn't a sushi buffet, there's a good variety of fresh sushi too 🔥

Assorted fruit,

unlimited cold beer, drinks, bingsu (shaved ice), coffee and tea, ice cream and desserts,,〰️ It's amazing there are so many kinds, but what's even more amazing is that all the food and ingredients are hotel-buffet quality ✨

Shabre Garden The Black Ulsan is a higher tier within the brand, and what's so appealing is that you can enjoy hotel-buffet-level dining at a reasonable price 👏
How I ate the shabu-shabu and sushi
At Shabre Garden you can dip fresh beef and vegetables in the various sauces, or wrap them up as Vietnamese-style rice paper rolls〰️ For the thinner square rice paper, I recommend scooping up the meat and vegetables from the broth all at once❗️😆
I ate as much as I wanted of the thick salmon sushi and the egg sushi that feels too precious to eat at a conveyor-belt sushi place 🤤 The soft, moist steamed dishes, the sides that are each appealing in their own way, and the cold beer when I needed a little refresh were all fantastic 🔥
Dessert pick: ice cream with Dwaeji Bar crunch topping
Among the ice cream toppings in the dessert corner there was a black one, and I grabbed some out of curiosity. It turned out to be exactly the crunchy cookie coating on the outside of a Dwaeji Bar (a popular Korean ice cream bar)⁉️ It was so good with the ice cream that I went back for a refill, haha,, 🫶 Spreading ice cream on pastry bread is good too 👍👍
My mother doesn't like sweets, so she chose fruit. Everyone picked dessert to their own taste, and when we finished, a lovely meal had come to an end ✨

Verdict: a shabu buffet meal with my parents
My parents and I were all satisfied with Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch, which works well for groups or a date. If you're looking for a fancy, special place to eat, I recommend visiting ❣️
