Today I went to Oslo Park in Yangsan. You can do everything there: kids café, good restaurants, shopping. That's why we visit even more often in the sweltering summer, like right now. A Western restaurant opened inside Oslo Park, and after hearing the buzz I headed over right away. Even from the outside it looks upscale and stylish: a brunch spot called Bueokgan Restaurant (부엌간레스토랑).

A brunch café that's great with kids, and a Western restaurant worth knowing inside Oslo Park

What is the interior of Bueokgan Restaurant like?
Bueokgan is a European-style restaurant full of curved lines, and apparently the interior was inspired by the Nationalmuseum in Sweden! It caught my eye from outside, and once I stepped in, the atmosphere was really lovely.
It's pretty and moody, so there are lots of couples on dates, and there are plenty of props at a kid's eye level too, so my child especially loves eating at Bueokgan.

The arched, curved design is so pretty that it healed my heart a little.

Ordering by tablet: what did we pick?
At Bueokgan you sit down and order right away on a tablet. We browsed the food pictures on the tablet together and agonized before ordering, haha.

I also took photos of the menu.

For the record, I ordered the jambon pizza, the carbonara and the sweet potato fries.

Clean kids' tableware that makes dining with a child easy
The first thing I noticed at Bueokgan was how clean the tableware was. Kids' dishes usually show a lot of wear, but Bueokgan gave us tableware kept without a single scratch, so eating here with my child felt completely safe!! I'm going to be a regular!!!
The fork and knife too!! Again, in such great condition!!!
How is the carbonara at Bueokgan?
With Bueokgan's carbonara, I popped the egg yolk and twirled the pasta through plenty of sauce, and it tasted even better. It looks pretty, and my child ate it well thanks to the rich, nutty flavor.

The smooth cream sauce soaked into the noodles, so the pasta stayed moist. It was loaded with bacon too, yet I finished it without feeling it was too heavy.

The noodles had a great texture, never dry, and went well with the radish pickle. A carbonara everyone from kids to grandparents would like, and my child especially ate it up!

Jambon pizza with a thin, crispy crust
Bueokgan's jambon pizza (jambon is French-style ham) wasn't salty, and the crust in particular was the charm. I ordered it with high expectations and it was so good.

Plenty of melted cheese on the thin, crispy crust made it mild, and the jambon was nutty and went well with the pizza. Not a single slice was left, it was that good!! I keep thinking about this jambon pizza.

It had great flavor and went in harmony even when eaten together with the carbonara.

Rice-flour sweet potato fries: how were they as a side?
Bueokgan has sweet potato fries, fried in rice flour, as a side. Hardly anywhere sells sweet potato fries, but Bueokgan has them on the menu!! I ordered them the moment I saw them.

The charm of salty-sweet sweet potato!! They weren't regular potato fries, so they felt special, and they went perfectly with what I ordered!! The outside was so crispy, a textbook crispy-outside, moist-inside.

Drinks and overall plating
For drinks I ordered Coke Zero and orange juice. They looked pretty and went well with the pizza!! The plating of the food was lovely overall too, and the restaurant's atmosphere put me in a good mood the whole meal at Bueokgan.
