Gukaechan Banchan Gwanggyo Main Store is a banchan (Korean side dish) shop on the 1st floor of I-Flex in Gwanggyo, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, where side dishes and soups are cooked in-store every day. Missing home cooking while trying out living alone, the blogger bought 7 side dishes and 1 soup at Gukaechan, then added a made-to-order rolled omelette and a complimentary seasoned bean sprout side to set a 9-dish table. The seasoning was well balanced and the sundubu-jjigae (soft tofu stew) was especially clean-tasting, making Gukaechan a satisfying stand-in for home cooking.

Four friends booked on Naver and ordered 2 portions of the mixed grill, then added one portion each of daechang (large intestine), heart, gopchang (small intestine) and makchang (abomasum), trying every grilled item on the menu. Staff take over the grilling after the first sear, and the charcoal aroma and cheongyang chili sauce stood out. The verdict: even the fattiest cuts never felt greasy, and the friends would gladly return to Baekho Yangdaechang.
