Today I'll share my honest review of Manpo Galbi (만포갈비), a well-known Yangju spot where a spacious, comfortable dining room serves top-quality charcoal-grilled marinated galbi and a great lunch special. 😊

Where is Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch, and is there parking and seating for groups?

Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch is at 65 Songnang-ro, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, Building 1, floors 1–2. There is a large private parking lot right in front, so you can visit without worrying about parking.

The conveniences are good too. Baby chairs (kids' option) are available, and with private rooms and group seating, it's a great pick for a Yangju company dinner, family meal or get-together.

What comes in the ₩19,000 handmade galbi lunch set?

Four of us visited Manpo Galbi and ordered the much-talked-about lunch special handmade galbi set (₩19,000 per person), which has a generous lineup! The lunch special runs from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding weekends and public holidays.

• A full set: 250g pork galbi + naengmyeon (cold noodles) + doenjang sul-bap (soybean paste rice)

You get plenty of side dishes, meat grilled over charcoal, hearty doenjang rice and refreshing naengmyeon all in one meal, so the value and satisfaction are seriously great.

How does Manpo Galbi's house-marinated pork galbi taste? 🍖

Manpo Galbi is excellent for its combination of generous side dishes and charcoal-grilled marinated galbi.

A premium marinade that never feels heavy: the meat itself is top quality, and the marinade isn't overpowering or harsh, so everyone from kids to grandparents can enjoy it without getting tired of it.

The tender handmade galbi melts in your mouth, and grilled with all that charcoal aroma, my chopsticks just wouldn't stop.. (ᵕ̣̣̣̣̣̣﹏ᵕ̣̣̣̣̣̣)

House-made naengmyeon and free dessert 🍜

The naengmyeon at Manpo Galbi is made with noodles pulled in-house, and it's served with a meat order or included in the set. The second half of the meal and the finish were truly perfect!

A real treat, the house-made naengmyeon: both the mul naengmyeon (cold broth noodles) and bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed noodles) have chewy noodles and a great balance of broth and seasoning, so they're a highlight on their own. Eaten together with the galbi, they're a fantastic match.

Free dessert: after the meal, you get cold iced coffee and nostalgic ppeongseukrim (puffed-rice ice cream) for free, so you finish with a clean, sweet last bite. 🥹💖
