Stone pot rice set meal in Gimpo with 12 side dishes: Bomseol Gimpo
In short
Bomseol Gimpo is a Korean set-meal (hanjeongsik) restaurant that recently opened on Geomdan-ro in Gimpo, Gyeonggi. On a weekend afternoon when the temperature hit 39°C, the writer ordered the mountain-high scallion bulgogi feast at 20,000 won per person, served with stone pot rice, more than twelve side dishes and self-serve kimchi jjim. With a large parking lot, private rooms, group seating and baby chairs, Bomseol Gimpo is a place the writer would happily return to with her parents.

Bomseol Gimpo 🥗🍚🥄 the unchanging taste crafted by a master of Korean cuisine
Why Bomseol Gimpo was the pick for lunch on a 39°C day
Bomseol Gimpo is a newly opened hanjeongsik (Korean set-meal course) restaurant at 910 Geomdan-ro in Gimpo, Gyeonggi. With the heat these days, I feel like eating well is the only way to not collapse~? 🥹 This was the hottest day of my summer so far — daytime temps hit 39°C.
On a day like that, I took my best friend, who usually only eats delivery food, out for real Korean food at the newly opened Gimpo hanjeongsik spot "Bomseol Gimpo"! 👉(。・ω・。)
Since it just opened, the whole place felt super clean, and beyond the food, the owner and staff were SO kind that I want to come back with my parents next time! There are baby chairs too, so it's easy to bring a little one along.
Parking at Bomseol Gimpo: 3 hours free on weekends
Besides Gimpo, Bomseol has locations in Dangsan, Songdo, Dongtan, Gwanggyo, Siheung, and Gwangju. The lot in front of the restaurant is huge and roomy, so parking was totally stress-free ☺️ It fits over 100 cars and tour buses!!

Here's the parking info for Bomseol Gimpo ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
- Weekdays / registration required
- Weekends & holidays / free for 3 hours (no separate registration needed)
We visited on a weekend afternoon, and when we mentioned it at checkout, they said no registration was needed and it's just free for 3 hours! That's such a generous window, right!?

Inside Bomseol Gimpo: private rooms and group seating

Here's the vibe inside Bomseol Gimpo (●'◡'●) Because hanjeongsik comes so abundant, the tables themselves are big and spaced far apart!
We arrived a bit after lunch rush and it was still packed, but they seated every party with real space between tables, so we could eat quietly!? Even though it's a hanjeongsik place, it's not stuck in an old-fashioned vibe at all — clean and comfortable, easy to relax in.

I loved that there are private rooms too~ Group seating is fully set up for company dinners, family gatherings and the like, so more private meals are possible! If you're looking for a spot for a family gathering, a get-together with friends, or a work dinner, I'd recommend this.
One side has a big window with a really pretty view.. 🌳
They have plenty of baby chairs too, so bring the kids! There's tableware ready for babies as well.

‼️Adults (elementary school age and up) must order for 2 or more people‼️ ‼️Since 2+ orders are required, solo dining is pretty hard here‼️
You order via a tabletop kiosk, and payment is "prepaid" (●'◡'●) If splitting the bill is tricky with your group, decide who's paying first!

They gave us small plates and warm water for making sungnyung (scorched rice tea). Since it just opened, the kindness felt extra special (✿◡‿◡)
Twelve side dishes, and what's in the tomato salad sauce
Woaah~! ლ(╹◡╹ლ) The side dishes were set out right after we ordered!

Seasoned lotus root, pickled chili peppers, seasoned zucchini, bean sprouts, perilla leaves, spicy radish salad, fried carrot and perilla leaf, tomato salad, seasoned gotdeulbaegi (wild lettuce), yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi), salad, seasoned bellflower root, and more! With so many side dishes, you get to taste a bit of everything 😻♥

I was hungry so I started with the side dishes while waiting, and since the tomato was labeled as an appetizer I tried it first — sweet and so tasty?! 🍅 But the sauce tasted so familiar and I couldn't place it at all! We were trying to guess between ourselves.. and a staff member came over and said we'd know the taste but probably couldn't name it — the answer was "corn~!!~!" The moment I heard "corn" I went "ohh~~"! 🌽🌽 Perfect for getting your appetite going.. ♥
The side dishes are seasoned nicely without being too intense — subtle but delicious, so even I, who usually only cares about the main dish, kept reaching for my chopsticks!??!

The bean sprout salad and spicy radish salad seasoning were especially good!
The fried dish was perilla leaf and carrot — how did they fry this?!?! The crispiness was next level! >﹏< I thought I was watching an ASMR video!! It was so good I genuinely wondered how they made the batter..! I thought I could eat like 50 pieces of that fried perilla leaf per person at home with beer and a movie, haha

Self-serve corner: barley rice, kimchi jjim and dongchimi
Since we were eating so happily, they told us to use the self-serve corner for any side dishes we wanted more of (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

The self-serve corner even has "barley rice / kimchi jjim (stewed kimchi) / dongchimi (radish water kimchi)"?~ Definitely grab this ♥ We got the kimchi jjim and it was so good!! Put it on top of your sungnyung and try it — trust me, trust me~
Scallion bulgogi feast at 20,000 won per person, cut for you at the table

✅ Scallion bulgogi feast (산더미파불고기 한상), ₩20,000 per person. We're meat lovers so we ordered the version with "meat" — the scallion bulgogi feast ~ ~( ̄▽ ̄)~* The staff even prep the scallion bulgogi for you! And it really did come piled up like a mountain?!
They let the bulgogi simmer until it's fully cooked : ) It's been a while since I had bulgogi out at a restaurant~
I tried the bulgogi once the broth had reduced down thick? Ah.. before I'd even chewed, the moment it hit my mouth I went "mmm~♥"!! (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

The meat was cooked perfectly and the sweet-savory seasoning soaked in so well that the meat itself was incredibly tasty?! Pile on the scallion shreds and it's heaven .. 💚 The glass noodles and broth were so good too — even full, I kept eating!!!!
It's not an intense flavor, but a familiar, comforting Korean taste anyone can enjoy — feels perfect for a family meal out.
Stone pot rice, sungnyung and nurungji with kimchi jjim

The rice comes in a hot stone pot too~? The glossiness is unreal..?! 🥹 Even eaten plain, the rice was so good!!!!!!!!!!!
Pour water in and make sungnyung, and enjoy it all the way to the end!
Make sure to grab kimchi jjim from that self-serve corner I mentioned earlier. Nurungji (scorched rice) + kimchi jjim — this combo is unbeatable 😜😝

✅ Drinks ₩3,000. It was so hot I resisted the urge for beer and had a soft drink instead — they even gave us an ice cup, so it was really refreshing, and pouring it over ice with the carbonation was perfect 🍍 The staff were genuinely kind, always smiling and speaking in a bright tone — and since I'm a broth lover and was scraping the bottom of the bowl, they came over and asked, "Would you like more broth~?" haha
Finished the whole meal!!!!!! ლ(╹◡╹ლ) Since we cleared our plates, we definitely earned dessert~

By the entrance they sell 100% sesame oil, perilla oil, table wraps, popped corn snacks, rainbow snacks, barley candy and more! I resisted buying a table wrap even though it was surprisingly pretty(?)
