Atmosphere and seating

The sign lettering is big, so the restaurant stands out even from far away haha We went on a weekend evening and there were quite a few people!

Inside, some people were having a drink, and the tables are spaced very far apart and the tables themselves are big.

Getting a seat wasn't stressful, and it felt really comfortable haha

Pollack stew and squid bossam are the mains here, and there's also a "Yangeunine set" that comes with pollack stew and naengmyeon (cold noodles).

We were craving bossam, so we picked the squid bossam haha

Side dishes and self-serve siraegi soup

The basic spread here comes out really generous, and there's a self-serve bar, which I liked haha And the siraegi (dried radish greens) soup is self-serve too!

Letting you serve yourself soup like this is total customer-delight service..! It's nice to have something brothy, right? haha

Such a thoughtful place haha I can see why bossam fans around Samseong Station come here haha We ordered the soda and rice ahead of time, too haha

How was the squid bossam (medium)?

When the medium squid bossam arrived, it was so generous that I went "oh!" haha The side dishes that come with it were all really tasty and savory, and it seems the restaurant makes them by hand with care haha

The bossam was boiled moist and tender with no gamey smell, and the squid served with it had a springy, soft texture, so eating them together was delicious too!

The bossam is good on its own, but adding the squid brought a spicy, savory kick that made it even better hahaha

The kimchi I wanted to take home

Eating it with chives and bossam is great, but the kimchi here was seriously so good.. I had some left and wanted to pack it up and take it home, that's how savory it was hahaha

Was the squid chewy?

Squid gets tough if it's cooked even a little too long, but the squid in the squid bossam here was tender and moist with no chewiness haha

If you like bossam near Samseong Station, I'd recommend trying the squid bossam at least once!
