Hapjeong roastery café: fruit-basket Tamiru drip, Central Site

In short

Central Site Hapjeong is a local roastery café near Exit 2 of Hapjeong Station in Mapo, Seoul, that roasts its beans in-store and specializes in hand drip coffee. The writer paired a layered, fruity Ethiopia Tamiru and a nutty, sweet Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Washed drip with the signature tiramisu, and found the corner terrace seats and the inside bar table each offer a different mood. Verdict: Central Site Hapjeong is a Hapjeong Station café worth recommending to people who care more about the coffee itself than an Instagram backdrop.

If you're looking for a famous coffee spot near Hapjeong Station, try Central Site Hapjeong. They roast their beans in the shop, so you can even watch the roasting machine run. If you want a real coffee place in Hapjeong rather than some half-baked "social media vibe" café, this is the one I'd recommend. I had delicious drip coffee and tiramisu, and I'm leaving this review to recommend it. ❤️

Central Site, famous in Yeonnam, has opened a branch in Hapjeong too...☕ And apparently pets are allowed!

Corner terrace seats and a bar table for solo visits

The terrace seats out front are especially good! Because it sits on a corner, it's an even nicer Hapjeong terrace café. It was comfortable to sip coffee while watching people walk by. On a nice day, this seat puts you in a good mood...🌿

I ordered three things. 🤎

  • Ethiopia Tamiru
  • Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Washed
  • Tiramisu

Ethiopia Tamiru: a drip like a fruit basket

☕ The Ethiopia Tamiru is a coffee like a fruit basket. Cup notes: strawberry, jasmine, nectarine, malic acid, apricot, melon, crisp.

The fruit comes up first in the aroma. Strawberry, nectarine, apricot and melon come in layers, with a faint floral jasmine following. There's an acidity like malic acid, but it doesn't stick out and finishes crisp and clean. It feels like eating fruit even though it's coffee...🍓

Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Washed: the nutty, sweet side

☕ The Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Washed is a completely different kind of coffee from the Tamiru. Cup notes: hazelnut, butterscotch, milk chocolate.

Nutty hazelnut comes first, with butterscotch-like sweetness backing it up. After you drink it, a soft milk-chocolate finish lingers. If you prefer nutty and sweet to coffee with sharp acidity, this is probably your taste...🍫

Does the signature tiramisu go with the drip?

🍰 Central Site's signature tiramisu is such a good combo with hand drip. The sponge at the bottom is moist and soaked with coffee, and the top has chocolate and cocoa powder! It's not tiramisu in name only, it's the real thing, so even people who are picky about desserts should be happy.

Worth visiting the Hapjeong branch even if you've been to Yeonnam?

Central Site Hapjeong is a roastery café famous for hand drip that I stumbled on while looking for a good coffee place near Hapjeong Station. The fruity Ethiopia Tamiru, the nutty-sweet Guatemala Entre Volcanes and the tiramisu that goes perfectly with coffee all satisfied me. If you love hand drip, it's a Hapjeong café worth coming to even if you've been to the Yeonnam one. If you want a real coffee place, I highly recommend it 🤎
