The windows, lighting and walls differed a little from room to room, but every one felt calm and cozy, so it's perfect for a blind date or a date, and for anyone who likes a quiet space of their own~

The atmosphere also suits family gatherings and business meals. The restrooms are inside the restaurant, separate for men and women, and were kept clean haha.

The menu at Bistro Chai Plus is split into courses and à la carte dishes, and there are several courses, from a light lunch course up to dinner.

Some à la carte dishes are also part of the courses, so you can add a dish you want to eat, or skip the course and order only à la carte to suit your taste~

Lunch 58 and Lunch 48 course prices and menu

We visited Bistro Chai Plus for lunch and had Lunch 58 and Lunch 48. The prices are ₩58,000 and ₩48,000 per person!
If you join the review event, you get one glass of house wine for free. You can choose red or white, and we picked white to go lightly with the course haha.

Caesar salad and potato soup
The Caesar salad came out first, with cheese, bacon and even fresh fruit on crisp romaine, so the textures and flavors were quite varied,,

The potato soup was the chef's recommended seasonal soup. It was smooth and nutty, with a subtle flavor from green onion-infused oil, and it had crispy fried potato inside too.
Chai gangjeong

Next was Chai gangjeong (crispy glazed fried chicken), crispy fried chicken thigh coated in a special sauce.

Eating the chicken thigh together with arugula and bell pepper added freshness to the rich special sauce, and the balance was great.
Perilla oil buckwheat makguksu
The perilla oil buckwheat makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) was the dish I was looking forward to most. With baby greens and cucumber on top, it looked fresh and clean,

The seasoning wasn't harsh but mild, and the cucumber and baby greens added a nice texture. It was as good as I'd hoped.
Grapefruit sorbet to cleanse the palate
In the middle came a grapefruit sorbet to cleanse the palate! It had the grapefruit's signature freshness with a faint bitterness, and it left my mouth feeling really clean.

Main dishes: Lunch 58 lamb chops, Lunch 48 grilled sablefish
The main of the Lunch 58 course is lamb chops, and the main of the Lunch 48 course is grilled sablefish.

Isigny butter lamb chops on a stone plate
The lamb chops came on a piping hot stone plate. It's a French rack grilled in melted Isigny butter, so the nutty butter aroma alone was so good,,

It came with water dropwort (minari), mushrooms and zucchini, which made the textures much richer, and I liked that you can cook the meat a little more on the hot stone plate to your preferred doneness~

Pick up the meat on the bone and tear it off properly! The rich buttery flavor is soaked in, so you can enjoy it to the very end haha.
Grilled sablefish marinated in three kinds of doenjang
The sablefish is marinated in three kinds of doenjang (fermented soybean paste) and then grilled, so it had deep savory flavor, and it comes with capers, green peas and cherry tomatoes.

I'd only had the sweet honey-style cod before, but sablefish marinated in three kinds of doenjang had a different charm of its own.

Dessert: patbingsu
The last dessert of the course was patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red beans)! The portion was just right for a dessert, a cool, clean finish to a filling course.
Is Bistro Chai Plus a good course restaurant for a blind date?
I was happy with Bistro Chai Plus, from the food to the atmosphere! If you're looking for a private-room course restaurant with a nice mood for a blind date or a special day, I recommend Bistro Chai Plus haha.
