I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen in ages and went looking for somewhere with really good pasta, and that's how I found Pasta Go Magok Branch (파스타고 마곡점). These days lots of pasta places charge close to ₩20,000 a dish, but this one was easy on the wallet and still great on taste and portion size, so I was happy through the whole meal 😊

The restaurant has a tidy, thoughtfully styled interior, with seating ranging from tables for two to tables for four to six. The moment I walked in, the clean, well-put-together decor caught my eye.

Pasta Go Magok Branch menu and tips for choosing the spice level
Pasta Go Magok Branch has more than pasta: a range of risottos, steak, mini pizza, french fries and side menus like cream churros. The sides are reasonably priced too, so it seemed like a good place to order a bit of everything if you come with a group.
Here's what we ordered.
- Shrimp Toowoomba pasta
- Hot rosé chicken risotto
- Cream churros
You can choose the spice level, and we both went for mildly spicy. Personally I found it barely spicy at all, so if you like heat, going up one level would probably be fine.

The food came out faster than I expected. The plating was neat and the colors were pretty, so it's great for photos too.
How was the shrimp Toowoomba pasta?
The shrimp Toowoomba pasta at Pasta Go Magok Branch comes in a thick, rich cream sauce with plenty of shrimp, and the portion was generous for the price. A cute touch: each order comes with a small morning bun, which I found memorable. It's nice for dipping into each dish's sauce haha.

The shrimp Toowoomba pasta was a thick cream sauce dish loaded with shrimp.

The creamy flavor was rich but not too heavy, so I could enjoy it to the last bite. The noodles were cooked just right, and the sauce clung well to them, so every mouthful was full of flavor.
The shrimp were plump and springy, which made the texture satisfying too. The portion was quite generous for the price, and I really felt it was great value.
Hot rosé chicken risotto: how spicy is "mildly spicy"?
The hot rosé chicken risotto at Pasta Go Magok Branch is a risotto with chicken in a smooth rosé sauce, and the mildly spicy level was barely spicy at all. I ordered it mildly spicy and it was easy to eat.

The soft, nutty taste typical of rosé, with a gentle kick on top, wasn't heavy at all and kept me going back for more.

There was plenty of chicken, so every bite felt satisfying, and the risotto portion was quite big too, making it a filling meal. I really enjoyed it and recommend this one!
Cream churros for dessert
The cream churros at Pasta Go Magok Branch are a side that's easy to add as a light dessert after the meal. The cream churros I ordered for dessert were satisfying too.

Crispy outside and moist inside, the churros were just right for dessert with the sweet cream on the side. The price is easy on the wallet too, so they're a nice light add-on after a meal.
Verdict: is Pasta Go Magok Branch a good-value pasta spot near Magongnaru Station?
I felt Pasta Go Magok Branch is great value, with generous portions for the price and good food quality. I went because I wanted good pasta with a friend I hadn't seen in a while, and the meal exceeded my expectations.
Western-style restaurant prices have gone up a lot lately, and plenty of places feel like a stretch. Here, besides pasta and risotto, there are sides like steak, mini pizza, french fries and churros, so it's good for visiting with several people. It felt like a restaurant that's right up women's alley haha.
If you're looking for a good-value pasta spot or a Western restaurant for a date near Magongnaru Station, Pasta Go Magok Branch is worth a visit 😊
