Dangsan-dong bakery café: potato cheese bagel and mango wakppu, BYWAY
In short
BYWAY BAKERS Yeongdeungpo Branch is a large bakery café that bakes its bread in-house, in Dangsan-dong, Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station. On a quiet Wednesday around 11:30am, the order at BYWAY BAKERS was an iced café latte, a potato cheese bagel and a fresh mango yogurt wakppu salt bread, which had more fresh mango than cream, so it tasted bright rather than heavy. With plenty of seating, BYWAY BAKERS Yeongdeungpo Branch copes with the lunch rush and even group meetups, making it an easy Dangsan-dong bakery pick.

Does BYWAY BAKERS bake its bread in-house?
BYWAY BAKERS Yeongdeungpo Branch bakes its bread in the store every morning, so if you want fresh bread, do stop by :) I also heard that its Dubai chocolate salt bread was ranked number one on a celebrity's personal YouTube channel. Highly recommended if you're hunting for Dubai desserts too!

The country-of-origin signs are easy to see, and it's a restaurant with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's top hygiene grade, so I felt reassured about hygiene too 👍🏻

Non-coffee drinks and seasonal watermelon juice
At BYWAY BAKERS you can enjoy other drinks besides coffee ☕️🍵 They were selling watermelon juice as a seasonal drink right now 🍉

Is BYWAY BAKERS Yeongdeungpo Branch busy at weekday lunchtime?
On a Wednesday around 11:30am, there was hardly anyone there, but once it passed 12 it was lunchtime for the office workers nearby, and the seats filled up in no time. It's a large café with plenty of tables, so I took my time browsing and picking out bread.
Luckily there's generous seating, so it looked more than capable as a group-friendly spot in Yeongdeungpo, and there were lots of staff, all friendly, so I could use the place comfortably without any waiting.

How are the iced café latte and potato cheese bagel?
At BYWAY BAKERS I ordered an iced café latte, a potato cheese bagel and a fresh mango yogurt wakppu salt bread. And the latte here turned out to be really good!

The potato cheese bagel was chewy outside and packed with potato and cheese inside, so it was filling enough for a whole meal. True to a bagel specialist, it had a dense texture 💛

Is the fresh mango yogurt wakppu salt bread too rich?
The fresh mango yogurt wakppu salt bread at BYWAY BAKERS wasn't heavy at all because it uses yogurt cream, and it had more fresh mango than cream, so I really enjoyed it. As the star of the day, it was the one I liked best! 🥭
It has that crispy, salty flavor salt bread is known for, and inside it's generously filled with fresh mango and smooth mango yogurt cream, so the freshness spread the moment I took a bite ✨ Not greasy at all, the kind of taste you keep reaching for 😋 I'd only seen the fresh mango yogurt wakppu salt bread in photos, and in person it looked even more appetizing and satisfying.
