True to its reputation as a solo-friendly poke lunch spot near Gangnam Station, there's a nice 1-person bar table set up so you can eat comfortably alone. Table setup with the solo poke and soup set

Solo poke + soup set with the flat iron steak upgrade, 18,000 won

I wanted something filling today, so I ordered the well-rounded solo poke + soup set (₩13,500)! To pack in more protein from the base poke, I upgraded to the chak-steak poke, which added ₩4,500.

A bowl of chak-steak poke

It came to ₩18,000 total, but looking at the taste and portion, it was a perfect combo well worth the money!!!

Self-serve lemon water and rooibos tea corner

Lemon water and hot rooibos tea are self-serve~~ Finish your poke and have a cup of rooibos tea for the perfect lunch, haha.

Poke served with half brown rice, half greens

Half brown rice, half vegetables and crispy fried onion

I chose half brown rice, half fresh greens!! The crunchy crispy onion texture was so good that it barely felt like a diet meal — it was delicious and filling, so I really recommend this menu!

Cube-cut chak-steak pieces

The cube-cut steak wasn't chewy at all and was cut into easy bite-sized pieces, and the wasabi sauce had a nice kick that kept it from getting boring.

Vegan tomato soup served with the set

The vegan tomato soup that comes with the set

The tomato soup that came as a side was rich and sweet with a slightly spicy finish, pairing really well with the poke! It's 100% vegan so it sits light and warm alongside the meal — I highly recommend ordering the set for this.

I was too full to finish it, but it's such a filling item!! It kind of reminded me of a witch's brew, haha.

Tray return spot next to the counter

There's a bus tray return spot next to the counter — surely no one just leaves their tray at the table!?

New on the menu: buldak poke for spicy food lovers

Sign announcing the new buldak poke menu

Looking at the menu board, I noticed a newly launched buldak (fire chicken) poke line! Two new options — buldak salmon poke and buldak octopus poke — came out, and they seem perfect as a cheat-day treat when you're on a diet but craving something bold and spicy!!

Disposable mouthwash available in the store

They even thoughtfully had disposable mouthwash, so I grabbed one! If you're looking for a healthy, tasty meal near Gangnam Station, or a comfortable place to eat solo, I highly recommend Ola Poke Gangnam. With great taste, portion size, and atmosphere all in one, it's the best solo poke lunch option near Gangnam Station^^
