Is this a good café for breakfast after a Gwangalli run?
They say Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is a haven for runners and joggers along the Gwangalli seafront! Since it's a Gwangalli spot serving breakfast, open every day from 8am, you can enjoy a leisurely brunch and coffee after an early morning run on the Gwangalli course!!
Travelers visiting Busan could also go for a morning run near their Gwangalli accommodation and then come here haha.

The building itself has a unique look too haha. It's a small standalone two-story building.
Interior and seating at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch

Coffee made with Australian Dukes coffee beans seems to be Famous Benny's signature!
The menu board and drink options

Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch had a wide range of drink choices — many coffees, types of matcha latte, non-coffee options, smoothies, gelato, juices, teas. But since I came for brunch today, there were so many delicious menu items I had a hard time deciding!! haha
Restroom and amenities
There's a restroom inside. Go around past the 'staff only' sign on the left and there's a clean restroom there~!
There are pictures of Sydney, Australia all around the café. Apparently Famous Benny is based on Australian-style brunch! The coffee beans are Australian Dukes coffee too... Australia is a country by the sea, and Busan is also a coastal city, and Australia is a coffee powerhouse. Busan is similar in that over 90-95% of Korea's coffee beans reportedly come in through the Port of Busan (the North Port that's been famous lately for the shark Bukhaengi haha), and it's lined with large roastery cafés including Momos, producing top-tier baristas — so there are some common threads there >_<
I went up to the second floor! At the entrance there's water, a blanket, side plates, salt, tissues. There are outlets under the seats too, so you can work on a laptop, apparently. That pool(?) painting is refreshing and pretty haha.
The window seats on the second floor have great atmosphere too!!

What did I order at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch, and for how much?
I ordered two drinks and two brunch plates at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch. I added avocado topping to The Famous Benny salmon for ₩3,000.
- Matcha latte (hot) ₩5,500
- Vanilla latte (hot) ₩6,500
- French toast ₩17,000
- The Famous Benny salmon ₩18,000 + avocado topping add-on ₩3,000
This is what I ordered. haha

Ta-da, they serve it right to your table once you order!!

How did the Dukes-bean hot vanilla latte and matcha latte taste?
The hot vanilla latte at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch was rich, with good aroma and flavor. I've been into warm lattes lately. I used to like iced vanilla lattes, but ever since I realized that warm, nutty milk combined with espresso maximizes the flavor... >_<... I've been drinking it hot.
The vanilla latte was so good!!! Rich, with great aroma and flavor, ugh.

They give you an info card about the beans used in the coffee too! The Dukes beans were delicious, ugh.

The matcha latte looks rich just by looking at it haha. As a matcha-obsessed person, I can vouch for how classy the flavor is. A deep, mellow taste!! Really good haha.

What was in The Famous Benny salmon and the French toast?
For brunch, I went with Famous Benny's signature The Famous Benny and the sweet French toast!!! Isn't it gorgeous just to look at >_< I heard the pumpkin soup is also good, and I was curious about the acai bowl and Egg in Hell too, but I ordered this combo haha. In the end, total success!!

The Famous Benny salmon
The Famous Benny was a lick-the-plate brunch with two long slices of salmon, various beans, toppings, vegetables, lemon, a warm delicious croissant(?), and Egg Benedict!!!

Sweet-and-savory French toast
The French toast, coated in egg batter, was even softer, nuttier, and saltier, and with sweet syrup, blueberries, sweet banana, two large perfectly-cooked bacon slices, nut toppings and more, it was a wonderfully balanced, hearty sweet-and-savory French toast!!

Everything was so delicious and filling... I think I just really love brunch, hehe.

Egg Benedict~ so good~ A life where someone makes you brunch every day would be a life well-lived, I bet.
Ugh, the bacon inside was also so delicious...

The banana too... completely sweet and caramelized and harmonious...

I cut it up with a knife bit by bit and ate it haha.
Adding avocado to the salmon Benny — does it work?
The avocado topping I added for ₩3,000 to The Famous Benny salmon went really well with it, ugh. Salmon plus avocado plus Egg Benedict, of course!

Sprinkle on the lemon too, it's so good~_~

Wahhh, grabbing everything and eating it all at once.
Look how rich it is! I'm a rich-matcha lover!
I wonder if this topping is onion...? Anyway, it's crunchy and good too haha.

Sunflower seeds? and this other topping that looks like injeolmi (rice cake) topping too... good... The brunches were packed with all sorts of things, so the textures and flavors were rich!! Gwangalli runners really eat well, don't they...
A walk along the Gwangalli sea and Millak Beach Park after brunch
After finishing a delicious brunch at Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch, I went straight for a walk along the nearby Gwangalli sea >_< ~~

Famous Benny apparently has branches in Changwon and Yangsan too, but I'd definitely call the Busan Gwangalli branch a top brunch spot, a top breakfast spot!! It was genuinely a great place. Good atmosphere, comfortable... the drinks and the food were both great.
