Diaz Cake Boutique, near Hyowon Park in Suwon, is a dessert café I visited on a day I was craving something sweet. I'm usually not much of a cake person~~ But this day I really wanted sweet cake! My company has a party every month, so I've eaten my fill of cake, and now I don't touch cake that isn't good...

Then, passing through Suwon, I searched for a great sweets spot and found Café Diaz! Ooh~~ I headed over full of anticipation.

Diaz Cake Boutique is at Room 201, 2nd floor, 48-7 Ingye-ro 166beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi, 452m from Exit 9 of Suwon City Hall Station on the Suin-Bundang Line. It's open daily 10:00–21:00, and offers group seating, takeout and delivery, Naver reservations, Wi-Fi and high chairs.

I hear Café Diaz started in 2015 in a tiny 10-pyeong space and has grown into a huge 400-pyeong rooftop café, which is impressive. The new Diaz Cake Boutique recently opened on the 2nd floor of the same building, so I went straight up. It's only a 3-minute walk from Hyowon Park too, so it's a great spot after a stroll or a date. 👍🏻

What's the 2nd-floor boutique atmosphere like?

The 2nd-floor shop has an elegant interior with sunlight pouring in under big picture windows. Compared with the original café, it's a quiet, stylish space focused on cake, hand-drip coffee and tea, so it was a perfect place to enjoy dessert and spend a relaxed, comfortable time.

The windows were open so it didn't feel stuffy, and with the nice weather, the window seat was just right!

Fruit cream cakes in the showcase, and the fig caught my eye

The showcase at Diaz Cake Boutique was packed with premium fresh cream cakes loaded with seasonal fruit like figs and peaches. They say it's run on good ingredients, care and strict cleanliness, under a brand promise of dessert you can trust.

How did the Diaz fresh cream cake taste?

They say what makes the cakes at Diaz Cake Boutique special is the ingredients: only premium ones, such as 100% animal-based Seoul Milk fresh cream, Madagascar vanilla beans and French Président butter.

They also say they cut back on sugar and avoid artificial flavors for a gentle, healthy dessert, so I felt less guilty eating something sweet. It's supposedly so popular that over 100 sell a day, and the moment I dug in with my fork and took a bite, the luxurious flavor melting in my mouth totally won me over.

Eating this when you're down would cheer you up fast! It melts in your mouth! And it's not too sweet! Just right for my taste!

Coffee, afternoon tea set and whole cake orders?

At Diaz Cake Boutique I paired the cake with the signature coffee made from fresh beans, and there's also an afternoon tea set, ideal for a special, relaxed tea time. They also had assorted baked goods made in-store, like financiers, and premium gift sets.

They say whole cake reservations and custom lettering are available for anniversaries, so next time I'm definitely ordering a whole cake. The coffee suited my taste too! haha
