Pangyo Indian restaurant weekday dinner: spicy beef curry, Bombay Broy
In short
Bombay Broy Pangyo is an Indian restaurant on Baekhyeon-dong Café Street in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. On a weekday evening the writer ordered the 53,900-won Maharaja course for two (chicken salad, samosas, tandoori chicken, spicy beef curry, garlic naan, strawberry lassi and a milk tea dessert), finished every plate, and noticed two tables of Indian diners, which gave Bombay Broy Pangyo a local feel. With forest-view windows and Indian music, Bombay Broy Pangyo is worth recommending for a date or an evening get-together.

What are the atmosphere and seating like at Bombay Broy Pangyo?
Bombay Broy Pangyo has an outdoor terrace, group seating for 10 or more, and window seats looking onto a forest, so it's a good recommendation for dates or get-togethers. Eating every meal like it's my last supper~ that's my theme this week! I went out for Indian food for the first time in a while. There are a few other Indian restaurants near my home, but the reviews for Bombay Broy Pangyo were good, so I gave it a try.
Having visited, the vibe is just so good!! There's an outdoor terrace for nice-weather days, plus group seating and baby chairs, so the place is comfortable. And the window seats look straight out onto a forest, which is so pretty.

Indian music was playing too, which lifted the mood~ and what really raised my expectations was... hehehe. I went on a weekday evening, and two tables of Indian customers were eating 👍 A restaurant serving a country's food that locals from that country visit has to be the real deal, right?

Bombay is the name of an Indian city~! And true to the "Broy" in the name, they apparently brew their own craft beer. I saw a few Bombay Broy branches around Seoul and Gyeonggi, and I wonder if the Busan branch, where the brewery is said to be, is the original.

Bombay Broy Maharaja course: what's included and the price
The Bombay Broy Maharaja course is ₩53,900 for two, and it brings everything at once: salad, tandoori chicken, curry, naan, rice, drinks and dessert. Bombay Broy offers à la carte dishes where you pick your own curry and naan, as well as course menus where you can taste many dishes in one go.
Indian food has so many curries, plus all kinds of bread and rice to go with them, so on a first visit even choosing is a dilemma. That's when a course menu is perfect, since you get to enjoy lots of dishes together. There's a reasonably priced lunch course at ₩14,900 per person, and the ALL DAY course comes in 3 types! We ordered the Maharaja course for two at ₩53,900.
- Chicken salad
- Half a tandoori chicken
- Samosas, 2 pcs
- Any one curry of your choice
- Plain naan + garlic naan (4 pieces each)
- Saffron rice or basmati rice
- Wine or beer or lassi, choose 2
- Dessert (milk tea)

Strawberry lassi and chicken salad
The Maharaja course started with a strawberry lassi (yogurt drink) and chicken salad. The chicken salad has a Caesar-style dressing, so it pairs well with rich curry.

What do the samosas taste like?
The samosa is one of India's signature snacks: a crispy pastry shell stuffed with potato and spices, then fried. Kind of a cross between a dumpling and a croquette. The outside is crunchy and the inside is fluffy, and the spices give it a flavor different from familiar french fries or croquettes.
Tandoori chicken, a must-order at any Indian restaurant

If you're at an Indian restaurant, tandoori chicken is a dish you can't skip, and the Maharaja course comes with half a chicken. Tandoori chicken is chicken marinated with spices and yogurt, then cooked in a traditional clay oven called a tandoor, or so I'm told. Unlike fried chicken, it's baked in the oven, and that distinctive smoky aroma is the charm.

Which curry did we pick?
For the Maharaja course curry you can choose one of several, including butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, prawn makhani, dal makhani and palak paneer, and we picked the spicy beef curry. With so many options it's hard to choose, but luckily the menu has pictures and descriptions, so I chose carefully haha.

Naan and rice: is the course enough for two?
The Maharaja course includes both plain and garlic naan plus rice, so the portion is quite big, though adding one more à la carte curry to the set for two is also worth considering. Naan is chewy Indian bread baked in a clay oven!! My favorite is garlic naan haha.

We finished everything, no leftovers hahaha

Finishing with milk tea dessert
The Maharaja course even comes with a milk tea dessert after the meal. When we finished eating and tried to just get up, they sat us back down lol. There's still a dessert left to cleanse the palate!
Who should go to Bombay Broy Pangyo?
Bombay Broy Pangyo serves everything from mains to sides, drinks and dessert in one sitting, which makes it a decent setup for anniversaries, dates or relaxed evening get-togethers. Since you get dessert after the meal, it's a nice way to wrap up a meal like a full course.
Beyond curry and naan, you can enjoy a range of Indian dishes like tandoori chicken and samosas, so even if you go with someone not used to Indian food, you can share lots of dishes and find what suits each person's taste! If you're looking for an Indian restaurant in Pangyo with an authentic local feel, Bombay Broy Pangyo is worth remembering.
