Why do friends keep going back to Eojil In at Wangsimni Station?

Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch (어질 인 왕십리역점) is a cozy café near Wangsimni Station, open 09:00–22:30, and this was my 4th visit… or so? When I meet my best friend and we find a café or restaurant we like, I don't overthink it. I just keep going until I'm sick of it. Looking for somewhere new is too much hassle..

So this time again I went to my go-to Wangsimni café, 'Eojil In.' The mood is great every time, so I always leave relaxed and having chatted my heart out haha

How to get to Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch

Eojil In is visible right when you come out of Wangsimni Station Exit 6, so access is excellent and it's an easy place to pick as a meeting spot.

It's modern but with warm lighting, so even from outside it gives off major Instagram vibes!

What are the interior and seating like at Eojil In?

Step inside Eojil In and you'll find a cozy, neatly arranged interior. The lighting is soft and the overall atmosphere is lovely, so you feel really at ease!!

Single seats for reading alone at Eojil In

Eojil In also has a variety of books, so I think it would be nice to come by yourself and spend some time reading. There are single seats, so it's good for reading~ and the vibe is top-notch for a little me-time too.

First- and second-floor seating and group tables

Eojil In has seats on the 1st floor, and if you climb these stairs there are even more seats on the 2nd floor.

Besides 2-person and 4-person tables, there are group tables and comfy sofa seats, so the seating is varied. It had a cozy atmosphere that's perfect for chatting quietly with friends. One warning, though: on weekend peak hours or when people head to cafés after a meal, seats can fill up fast!

There's a stair-style interior feature on the 2nd floor too. Break through to the sky and it's heaven, maybe..☆

What to order on a first visit to Eojil In

The Eojil In menu is well rounded, from coffee to tea to desserts. This time I ordered an iced decaf Americano and an iced Mariage Frères Eros tea.

The signature Café Milk Bowl, highly recommended

On a previous visit I had Eojil In's signature Café Milk Bowl, and there's a reason it's the signature. The rich milk flavor of the ice cream inside was insanely good. Sweet and nutty to the extreme! If it's your first visit, I highly recommend the Café Milk Bowl, or the Choco Milk Bowl if you can't have caffeine!

Cheesecake, baked sweets and gift box packaging

I didn't order it this time, but the cheesecake I had at Eojil In last time was also super delicious. It just melts,,, seriously. There are other sweet treats too, like madeleines and financiers (small almond butter cakes).

How do the decaf Americano and Mariage Frères Eros tea taste?

At Eojil In, you pick up your drink when the buzzer goes off.

It was a weekday evening after dinner, so I ordered decaf. Eojil In's iced decaf Americano had no off-flavors at all, and it was clean yet still had a nutty, toasty depth!

The Mariage Frères Eros my friend ordered was a tea I'd never tried. My friend said it was good, so I took a sip, and it really was a tasty tea. It smelled lovely, and it was clean, with a subtle fragrance spreading through my mouth.

Why Eojil In still satisfies after many visits

This was my nth visit to Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch, and every time I come I'm satisfied: the location is great and the atmosphere is good. I think I'll keep coming whenever I meet a friend near Wangsimni. Totally manzoku again this time..♡
