Nahonsha is a shabu-shabu restaurant between Hapjeong and Sangsu stations in Mapo, Seoul. I had the clear-broth shabu-shabu with fresh vegetables, tender meat, refills of chili and peanut sauce, and kalguksu noodles. Verdict: a comfortable, satisfying meal for solo diners or groups.

Tteudon Magok Branch is a Japanese-style pork cutlet restaurant in Gangseo, Seoul, near Magok Station. I had cold buckwheat noodles with crispy pork cutlet, added mini cutlets, and enjoyed the self-service bar, playroom, and ice cream. A great family meal after a Seoul Botanic Park walk.
