A pork cutlet spot that is easy to visit with kids near Magok Station

I visited Tteudon Magok Branch (뜨돈 마곡점), a popular pork cutlet spot near Magok Station. It is close to Seoul Botanic Park, so it was such a nice place to visit with kids, too.

It is a five-minute walk from Exit 5 of Magok Station~

Tteudon Magok Branch is open daily from 10:30 to 21:00. On weekdays from 10:00 to 14:00, all pork cutlet dishes are ₩1,000 off, so keep that in mind ^^

As soon as I walked in, the open, modern interior caught my eye. The tables are generously spaced, so it looked really convenient for bringing a stroller or dining with children.

A family dining space with a playroom and self-service bar

In particular, there was a well-equipped playroom for young children on one side of the restaurant! These days, it is surprisingly hard to find restaurants with such a clean playroom, so this felt perfect for parents to enjoy their meal with peace of mind. Seoul Botanic Park is nearby as well, so I highly recommend stopping by for a delicious meal after a weekend walk there with your child 👍

I headed to the self-service bar set up on one side of the restaurant. One of Tteudon's real charms is how generously this side bar is stocked! Along with basics like kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), danmuji (pickled radish), and pickles, there was sweet-spicy tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), rich cream soup that was just right for warming up before pork cutlet, and hot udon broth.

With the morning rolls and strawberry jam, you can toast a roll until golden, spread on a little jam, then add pork cutlet and salad for a “pork cutlet burger,” haha. It really felt like they had value for money covered, too.

Cold buckwheat noodles and crispy pork cutlet

The refreshing pan memil gasseu—cold buckwheat noodles with pork cutlet—arrived. Isn't the set-up so good?? The contrast between the cold, refreshing buckwheat noodles and warm, savory pork cutlet, along with their textures, made a truly perfect pairing!

I tasted the buckwheat noodles first. Their springy, chewy texture and the cool, umami-rich broth really woke up my appetite. So delicious!!

The bouncy, pleasantly chewy texture of the noodles was especially outstanding. Mix grated radish and wasabi into the cold, deeply flavored dipping broth with little shards of ice floating in it to your taste, dip the noodles in, and slurp up a big bite—the buckwheat's nutty flavor comes through with a refreshing burst that fills your mouth, haha. The noodles did not get soggy and stayed chewy right through the last bite.

Then, the moment I took a bite of the pork cutlet that came with the set... the thought, “Ah, I absolutely need more of this,” flashed through my mind. The coating was not overly thick but still wonderfully crisp, while the meat inside was thick and released juicy moisture with every bite—I could not help falling for it, haha.

The mini pork cutlet I ended up adding

In the end, I put aside my diet resolution in one second and, as if under a spell, immediately added the mini pork cutlet! It was the textbook crisp-outside, moist-inside cutlet, so I kept eating even though I was full. I experienced firsthand why it has the reputation of being a great pork cutlet spot near Magok Station. The mini pork cutlets especially looked perfect for kids, too.

Finishing the meal with ice cream

A perfect finish with sweet ice cream for dessert! My stomach felt ready to burst after that whirlwind of a meal, but you know there is always a separate dessert stomach, right? At Tteudon, you can even have sweet ice cream after your meal! Once I refreshed my palate with the cool, sweet ice cream, it truly felt like such a satisfying meal 👏

From the delicious buckwheat noodles and crispy pork cutlet to the plentiful side bar with tteokbokki and bread, the playroom kids love, and sweet ice cream for dessert, there was not one thing missing here!!! I strongly recommend visiting if you are out with family at Seoul Botanic Park on the weekend, or when you are craving properly crispy pork cutlet near Magok Station!
