The menu is said to be made by a Japanese-cuisine chef with 30 years of experience, and with 100+ items you can enjoy not just sashimi but meals and drinking snacks to suit your taste!!👍👍 It's close to Hwagok Station and open late, so it's also great for after-work get-togethers or company dinners!

Eochongye 1beonji is an easy walk from Hwagok Station, so it's very accessible👍 The menu and prices are clearly posted out front, so you can see what they serve before going in! Since it's open late, the mood was relaxed enough for a casual drink with sashimi after work~

Is the inside of Eochongye 1beonji spacious?

The restaurant is roomy and pleasant, with decent spacing between tables so it never felt cramped~ There are group tables too, so I thought it suited family meals as well as company dinners and gatherings!!

As you can see in the photos, it was almost full with customers in the evening, which shows how popular it is, yet the staff were quick and we didn't wait long for our food✨✨ It's kept clean overall, so we could eat in a comfortable atmosphere👍

Basic side dishes

The basic side dishes were cabbage salad, seasoned vegetables and white kimchi, and I enjoyed every one of them~ They also give you seaweed soup, and 👍👍👍

Is the mini seasonal sashimi platter enough for two?

The seasonal sashimi at Eochongye 1beonji was super chewy and fresh! We ordered the mini size and it was just right for two people~

Spicy fish-bone stew and live octopus

The fish-bone stew was nice and spicy, haha! We ordered it and ate it, and there's a review event too, so be sure to write one before you eat! So good!! The live octopus was springy and a real treat~~!👍👍

The quality of the sashimi and seafood here is really high,, (I'm 100% going again, in fact this was already a return visit!) There's a generous review event too, so definitely join in~ 👍

Is Eochongye 1beonji worth going back to?

Above all, the quality for the price is really good, and the wide variety of dishes means you can enjoy it your own way. The place is spacious and pleasant too, so I'd recommend it for family meals as well as company dinners and gatherings👍👍
