Where is Saechamcoffee and what is the vibe?

Saechamcoffee (새참커피) is a café on Daengridan-gil in Anyang. Today I'm writing up my visit. The name is already so cute! Saecham means a snack break, and you just can't skip a snack break~

Beige exterior and logo of Saechamcoffee on Daengridan-gil, Anyang

This is the exterior: a beige background with a stylish Saechamcoffee logo, and the indirect lighting gives it a certain mood and presence. The standing sign is made of wood, too. Mixing in wood throughout gave the place a cozy, homey feel.

They were also displaying their summer season menu, cup bingsu (shaved ice) and a watermelon smoothie. Just as a sparrow can't pass a rice mill, in summer you have to have a snack break. The cup bingsu and watermelon smoothie looked impossible to resist. On weekends only, they also serve Saechamcoffee's own signature sandwich until 5 p.m., and I hear the sandwich is delicious. I'll definitely try it next time.

Saechamcoffee desserts: cakes and levain cookies

The cakes were almost sold out already. Only the sweet pumpkin cheese cake was left, and sweet pumpkin plus cheese is, as always, a great, can't-fail combo. It sounds delicious for sure.

Saechamcoffee is also a great spot for levain cookies (thick, soft-centered American-style cookies). The Oreo levain cookie and the hwangchi-jeum (yellow cheese powder) s'mores levain cookie are both ₩4,300, a reasonable price. The hwangchi-jeum s'mores one adds s'mores to the trendy cheese powder, and the look is simply overwhelming. The Oreo levain is the cookie nobody dislikes, one everybody loves... and macadamia with white and dark chocolate? Another can't-go-wrong combo.

The matcha levain cookie looks like it already has a deep matcha flavor, just by its appearance, if you know what I mean. The triple chocolate levain was sold out, sniff. I was curious about that trinity of dark, milk and white chocolate, so that's a bit of a shame. The plain scone looked good too. All of it came at reasonable prices, which made Saechamcoffee even better.

Saechamcoffee signature lattes and healthy drinks

The honey salt latte is like Saechamcoffee's signature. It contains natural honey so you can enjoy it without worrying about sugar... a latte that fits today's trend of tasty and healthy. I also felt it captured the current sweet-and-salty trend perfectly.

Did the honey butter latte take its cue from the honey butter craze of a while back? Natural honey, so no sugar worries! It has butter but isn't greasy, just a slight boost in richness?! I was looking forward to this one too. And the looks of the levain cookies? I just can't resist.

With Nagasaki castella (sponge cake) and an apple beet detox juice, Saechamcoffee seems like a place health-conscious people would love. Sure enough, there were many women customers. Both the signature lattes and the apple beet juice let you enjoy flavor while looking after your health, so they feel easy and guilt-free.

Saechamcoffee interior, menu, restroom and private space

This is what the inside of Saechamcoffee felt like. The shop is quite spacious. It's decorated in cute little touches here and there, with lots of pretty, adorable details.

The menu is displayed on a huge Apple monitor, and the detox juices and drip coffees especially stood out. The seasonal items were already sold out... which must mean they're selling really well! With herbal teas and traditional fruit teas too, older folks can enjoy it as well, so it felt like a signature spot of Daengridan-gil.

How do you drink the honey salt latte? (₩7,000)

Here come Saechamcoffee's signature items, and even as I write this I'm craving them. Every one is vivid in my memory.

The honey salt latte is ₩7,000 and properly sweet-and-salty. You skip the straw and drink it with a foam kiss: the cream on top is sweet and salty, while the latte underneath is rich with its own bitterness, so the two balance each other nicely.

What do the watermelon smoothie and 3 levain cookies taste like?

The watermelon smoothie is ₩7,000. They just blend fresh watermelon, and the coolness and the subtle sweetness of the watermelon are superb.

The Oreo levain is ₩4,300. A big Oreo is stuck in it, the macadamia texture is great, and you can taste the deep chocolate.

The hwangchi-jeum s'mores levain is ₩4,300. The s'mores part is the chewiest of the chewy, and you can taste the subtle flavor of the cheese powder. The matcha levain cookie has a strong matcha flavor~ Matcha lovers, highly recommended.

Saechamcoffee, where the beautiful owner works so hard, has menu items that are all delicious! I recommend it as a healing place.
