I had brunch yesterday, so today I wanted something different. I'd been seeing ₩1,990 conveyor sushi signs all over Seoul lately, and there was a Sushi Ian N (스시이안앤) in Seolleung too, so I went.
Where is Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station and how to get there
Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station is on the 2nd floor of a building close to Exit 2 of Seolleung Station. It's an easy walk. Head up to the 2nd floor!

Solo lunch near Seolleung Station: is there a wait?
I arrived around 1:10 pm and was seated right away with no wait. I eat alone a lot, so I usually avoid the office lunch rush.

As you'd expect from a popular Seolleung spot, there was a separate waiting area, and a coat rack too.
Inside Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station and how fresh the sushi is

Sushi Ian N is a conveyor sushi franchise. In the reviews, a lot of people said the fish is fresher than at other chains. When I spent a month in Nha Trang, I went to Mikado Sushi and was disappointed that there wasn't as much variety of raw fish as in Korea. Conveyor sushi really is best in Korea!

The kitchen kept making sushi the whole time, so the rail was always stocked with fresh plates.
Sushi Ian N menu and prices: order what isn't on the conveyor

At Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station you can order sushi that isn't on the rail. The things I ate today tasted even better when ordered fresh!!

Once you sit down, the owner brings you a clear broth first.

Sushi Ian N drinks and half udon prices
- Draft beer 500cc ₩5,000
- Sake ₩6,000
- Soft drinks ₩2,000
- Highballs are also sold
- Half udon ₩3,700 (₩2,500 until 3 pm)
What I liked most was the half udon. Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station sells half-size udon for ₩3,700, and until 3 pm it's discounted to ₩2,500. When you're eating conveyor sushi alone, you hesitate over ordering udon because of the portion size. A great-value solo spot in Seolleung has sensible menu items too. I ordered the half udon!

There's also a Naver review event (1 plate of sushi or 1 can of a drink free), and a service of French fries and ketchup for kids in elementary school or younger!
What I ate from the flat ₩1,990 sushi plates

Every plate at Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station is ₩1,990, so you can pick without worrying. At conveyor sushi places where plates are different prices, I hesitate to grab anything and end up doing the math first. Shrimp sushi! Overall the rice balls weren't big or heavy, which I liked~

I had the beef sushi twice. The gunkan (seaweed-wrapped sushi) wasn't tough and chewed easily even though I have braces. Some places are super salty, but Sushi Ian N wasn't.

Must-orders: beef yukhoe salmon roll and sea urchin sushi
Order this one at Seolleung Station: the yukhoe (seasoned raw beef) salmon roll! The yukhoe was so good that I ordered one more as yukhoe sushi.

The sea urchin roe (uni) sushi, which isn't on the rail, is also highly recommended! (The person next to me ordered one with pollock roe too... what a shame. I was too full to order that and left.)

I also ordered the live fish with aged kimchi sushi and the fatty tuna belly, and I'll admit that Sushi Ian N's quality is better than other conveyor sushi spots.

I finished with the half udon to cleanse my palate. The broth is clean, so it goes well with sushi too.

How much does a solo meal at Sushi Ian N cost?
At Sushi Ian N Seolleung Station, I ate 11 plates plus half udon for ₩24,390 by myself! Some plates have just one piece of sushi on them, haha, so it wasn't actually that much.

You can also get takeout assorted sushi for around ₩10,000, so if you're looking for good-value sushi around Seolleung Station in Daechi, go to Sushi Ian N!
