Sambaek Hanu Daecheop is an aged-beef short rib restaurant right by Yeonsinnae Station in Eunpyeong, Seoul. After a workout, the writer and a same-age neighborhood friend shared a 300g set of aged beef short rib (₩33,000), 200g of garlic short rib (₩19,800), plus complimentary doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and hanwoo chadolbaegi ramyeon, with the garlicky soy-marinated ribs standing out for their juiciness and umami. At under ₩10,000 per 100g, it's worth a repeat visit for anyone hunting for good-value Korean beef short rib.
