Seongsu restaurant for an early 4pm dinner with reservation: Gyuen

Gyuen Dang Seongsu Main Branch is a grilled gyukatsu (beef cutlet) Japanese restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building on Yeonmujang 7-ga-gil, a 5-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 3. Booking a 4pm slot via Naver Reservation after a bakery tour, the writer tried the striploin gyukatsu, hamburg omelet rice, and a mini okonomiyaki from a review event — the butter-grilled striploin with the special sauce stood out most. A good fit for a relaxed early dinner on a Seongsu date.

Seongsu burger restaurant in Seoul: thick Shrimp O.G.

Bored & Hungry Seongsu is a handmade burger restaurant in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Seongsu Station. Over lunch with a friend, the Shrimp O.G. set came with the side swapped for corn ribs, and the patty was so thick and studded with whole shrimp that Bored & Hungry's disposable gloves were the only way to hold it. The bun stayed moist despite the thick patty, and one burger made a genuinely filling meal.
