Handmade burger shop in Suncheon: chili shrimp burger at Burger Forest

Today I went back (for the third, fourth, who's counting) time to Burger Forest, a handmade burger place by Suncheon's lake park that I absolutely love, and had burgers!

Burger Forest basics and location

Why it works as a date spot near the lake park

I strongly recommend Burger Forest as a date spot near Suncheon Jorye Lake Park. It's my true favorite, and I recommend it to everyone around me. A friend visiting from another city happened to love hamburgers, so I whisked her right over, haha ♥

Inside the shop, the self bar and kiosk ordering

Another reason I like Burger Forest: the inside is very clean and pleasant :-) There were seats for eating alone, and it suits families and dates too.

The self bar has tableware and water, plus various sauces and even disposable gloves. I always love being able to enjoy fries and sides with a variety of sauces.

You can order easily at the kiosk, and both dining in and takeout were possible. Judging by how busy it is, they seem to get a huge number of delivery orders too!! You can enjoy these delicious handmade burgers at home by delivery, so ordering from Burger Forest on a hot day sounds great :-)

The menu: what burgers are there?

The range is huge, from the Forest Burger with a patty and cheese to whole chicken breast, Hawaiian, whole shrimp, avocado and more. The sides are just as varied, which is why I never get tired of it no matter how often I go... ///

Ta-da :-) My friend and I went as a pair, and we ordered one as a set and one à la carte. The burgers are really big and filling, so one set per person is always a lot //

My friend loves chicken burgers, so she got the whole chicken breast burger. I love shrimp, so I got the grilled chili shrimp burger, plus sweet potato fries as a side. Ooooh =3 my mouth was totally watering!!!!

When I switched to a set, the drink came out small, and honestly a small cider between two people barely made a dent. If you're two people ordering one set and one à la carte like me, I recommend adding one more drink.

You can see at a glance how packed these burgers are, right? They make a simple but hearty meal, so I think of this place every time I come to the lake park. The balance of carbs, protein and fat in a burger is actually pretty decent, which I like, haha.

Whole chicken breast burger, ₩7,900: how does it taste?

Whole chicken breast burger, ₩7,900. The name alone sounds like a can't-go-wrong combo, and the chicken was really tender and crispy. It went well with the sauce, and Burger Forest's bun itself is so good that whatever goes inside tastes good. If you like chicken, I don't think opinions will be divided. It passed my burger-loving friend's taste test with flying colors - ★

Grilled chili shrimp burger, ₩8,900: my favorite

Grilled chili shrimp burger, ₩8,900. It has a plump whole shrimp and onion rings, and when you take a bite, those two work well with the patty, bun and vegetables. Patty plus whole shrimp, need I say more? ,,, It tastes like an upgraded version of a fast-food chain's whole shrimp burger, so it's truly my number one favorite T_T The bun is even better and there are onion rings too, so it can't be bad. Highly recommended.

Sweet potato fries over regular fries

Personally I'm not a big fan of potato fries, so I never had much of a reaction to french fries, but Burger Forest's sweet potato fries were truly the best. They're sweet potato fried crispy, so I think nobody would dislike them. If you don't like regular fries like me, definitely order the sweet potato fries!

They were a perfect match with the sauce served alongside. Spicy and sweet, the kind you keep dipping into :-) Burger Forest, a great spot near Suncheon Jorye Lake Park, gets my confident, strong recommendation, and that wraps up this review.
