I was craving bone stew, so I went to Namdareun Gamjatang. It's open daily from 10:00 to 23:00, with break time on weekdays from 15:00 to 17:00 and on weekends from 15:30 to 16:30.

Where is Namdareun Gamjatang Suncheon Jorye branch, and is there parking?
Namdareun Gamjatang is located at the Yusimcheon intersection in Wangjo 2-dong, Suncheon. It was convenient that I could park right in front of the restaurant.

Menu and ordering: Namdareun Braised Pork Bones (medium), 36,000 won
You can check the menu at the restaurant entrance. Takeout and delivery are also available — in fact, there were quite a few takeout and delivery orders coming in while we were eating.

You order using the tablet on the table. We ordered the Namdareun Bone Stew (medium) for ₩36,000, two rice bowls at ₩1,000 each, and a Sprite for ₩2,000.
Inside the restaurant: a hall wide enough for group gatherings

The interior is quite spacious with plenty of tables. The roomy layout makes for comfortable dining and it's also a good spot for gatherings or group visits.
Side dishes and the free steamed egg at Namdareun Gamjatang

The basic side dishes come out simply. The diced radish kimchi (kkakdugi) went really well with the bone stew.

Side dish refills are self-serve. I love onions, so I ate a lot of them. There's also dumpling dough noodles (sujebi) available as an add-in, so if you're a gamjatang (pork bone soup) fan, you could eat endlessly.

Ordering the Namdareun Bone Stew comes with a free steamed egg (gyeranjjim) on the side. It was so soft and fluffy that I kept eating it while waiting for the stew — and before I knew it, it was gone,,,, finished it all.
What comes with the braised pork bones (medium), and how does it taste?

The Namdareun Bone Stew (medium) comes in a big, very generous bowl. It's packed with a variety of ingredients — carrots, green onions, meat, potatoes, mushrooms, rice cakes, and glass noodles.

When it comes to bone stew or gamjatang, the most important thing is whether the meat falls easily off the bone — and here it did, very smoothly. The tender meat was delicious.

I'd eat meat, then noodles, then meat again... the glass noodles paired really well with the sauce. The sauce isn't spicy at first, but as you keep eating, you notice a slightly tingling heat — must be the chili in there. The sauce is basically a rice-thief, if you know what I mean.
I wondered if two of us could finish it all, but somehow we ended up eating almost everything. Namdareun Gamjatang is a restaurant I'd recommend if you're craving a hearty, filling bone stew.
