Konkuk Univ. bakery for angbutter salt bread takeout: Stack Bakery
In short
Stack Bakery Konkuk University Station Main Branch is a bakery café in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Konkuk University Station Exit 5, where bread is baked fresh every day. Seven items went home in a takeout bag, including the angbutter salt bread (red bean and butter, 4,500 won) and the apple cinnamon pastry (5,200 won), eaten on the street, at home, and reheated in an air fryer the next day. This Konkuk bakery café kept popping up on my Instagram feed, and I kept wondering just how good it could be. I finally made it there after putting it off for ages! Let me introduce Stack Bakery, the Konkuk bakery café loaded with fresh-baked bread every day 〰️

Where is Stack Bakery, and how do you walk there from Konkuk University Station?
Stack Bakery Konkuk Main Branch is about 5 minutes from Konkuk University Station Exit 5. Let's start the tour from the outside, following the timeline. Honestly, the buttery smell was so strong even from outside that you could find it without a map (?) Bread-lover radar activated

The moment I walked in, the breads were all lined up gorgeously as if begging to be picked, and I broke a sweat just choosing

True to its reputation as one of the best croissant spots in Seoul, there were so many pastry-type breads! I wanted every single one in my mouth right away

How am I supposed to resist this look...

This Jayang-dong bakery boasts a lineup with everything from kouign-amann to salt bread. I confidently loaded up my order with everything that caught my eye 🎵

Is the 2nd floor at Stack Bakery good for sitting alone?
While waiting for my order, I went up to the 2nd floor, and every little corner had the Stack Bakery branding done really well. You could tell how much care the owner put into it

The space was set up nicely for eating in. It was quiet, so it seemed like a good spot for solo work too

There's a restroom inside too haha

Isn't the shopping bag packaging so pretty! I was too busy that day to eat right after picking it up, so in the evening I couldn't hold out and ended up eating on the street mid-walk
What the angbutter salt bread tastes like straight from the bag

Stack Bakery's ambutter salt bread (₩4,500) is seriously insane, no exaggeration. Whole red beans crunch inside the sweet red bean paste, and combined with the salty salt bread, it made me gasp out loud . . This is the Konkuk bakery café worth running to for this one item alone. If you visit, you absolutely must stock up

Even eaten with a careless outdoor bite, it delivered pure bliss. I almost danced on the street

Do the apple cinnamon and olive cheese pastries hold up the next day?
Once I got home, I tore into the apple cinnamon pastry (₩5,200) again... Between the crisp layers, the sweet apple and cinnamon aroma comes rushing in... it's absolutely wild.........

Olive cheese pastry, tomato cheese pastry. True to this Ttukseom Hangang Park favorite's delicious base, they were still amazing reheated in the air fryer a day later ㅠㅠ It really woke up my appetite and reminded me once again of this Konkuk café's skill

Everyone, just look at this salt bread butter cave
