Bangi-dong bar for solo drinking and spicy mul dakgalbi: Jojomomo
Jojomomo is a Korean tavern in Bangi-dong, Songpa, Seoul, about a 10-minute walk from Exit 11 of Jamsil Station. With the main hall fully booked, the writer took a seat at the Jojomomo bar table for the first time and ordered mul dakgalbi (soupy spicy chicken hot pot, 25,000 won), aged kimchi tuna rolls (12,000 won) and the signature nurungji dongdongju 1000ml (12,000 won) — the mul dakgalbi is the spiciest dish on the menu, a step hotter than spicy Shin Ramyun. For a Bangi-dong bar that works just as well for solo drinking as for a date, the Jojomomo bar table is the seat to take.
